I have been to other specialist dinosaurs museums, and this is one of the better. The excavation is interesting, and the dinosaur timeline is well done in the museum proper.

Bangkok airport to Kalasin Province (where the museum is located) is about 8/9 hours by car. You could fly to Khon Kaen, and hire a car at the airport. KK airport to the museum will take less than 2 hours.
