This art center is also a foundry. They specialize in making amazing (small and big) sculptures in bronze and have some on display. The location is very peaceful and clean. Staff is knowledgeable and kind. Spent two hours visiting and talking with them. Worth a visit.

A beautiful setting for a first rate gallery displaying the excellent creations of the local foundry. Set up to create local employment it is also a wonderful, peaceful location for a rest stop, coffee and snacks. Look out for the orange, roadside sign with a pangolin about 10 kms north of Kasese. With a bit more time you can tour the foundry ($10 pp). Very clean toilets too!

We bought a locally made bronze sculpture from the centre. If you like locally made art then this is a good place to look. They have a lot of locally made bronzes and some from Europe. Even if you do not buy, it is a cool place to stop on the way to QENP.

We needed something to do with the kids on Sunday morning so we drove to Rwenzori Founders. Emmanuel, the director took us on a guided tour which demonstrated how difficult the process is. The kids loved it, especially when they had their hands cast in plaster to help them understand the technique. We ended up with a lovely cafeteria and home made biscuits for mum and I whilst the kids enjoyed cold sodas at the gallery. I'd certainly recommend it if even if just to have a coffee and a relaxing break looking over the beautiful landscape.

My review is about the Rwenzori Founders Art Centre. Very Interesting, very nice artistic pieces, I was impressed by the entire property. The sculptures are well presented, staff very knowledgable, the place is clean, in contrast with the city. A place I will not forget, a jewelry in the middle of this messy town.
