This village is around a hour drive from the main Kaza highway. The drive is amazing with almost no traffic. You can stop in the middle of the road and have a panoramic view of the entire mountain range.

Kibber, considered to be the highest village in Spiti valley at 4200 meters. This place is more beautiful that thought of. It's a village in solitude the people are rather more friendly here. The unique thing about the village is that the houses are made of stone and in box like shape and typical square shape windows with black paint... More

We stopped at Kibber for lunch, a little ahead of the Ki Monastery. A small village where you can get a good idea of the local life. The road is decent, thanks to the PMGSY. The village is surrounded by mountains, providing a treat to the eyes. It's apparently the highest village in India. You can also make this a... More

One needs to experience this setting once to have an idea of what local life could be at Himalayas. A little ahead of Ki Monastery one can visit this as also Komic village on the other direction.

You visit the place and you understand the justification of my title. This place is slight replica of Ladakh yet it has it own charm. Definitely a must visit. 16 kms from kaza , drive is awesome thanks to Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak yojana that you can reach here in your own vehicle or on your bike.
