The lakes and walking are just stunning around here and the old world felt is a breath of fresh air. The lakes and marsh make you feel like you have stepped back in time and there is always a friendly face to make sure you are walking in the right direction. Today we visited the Frampton Court Estate for the thirtieth Country Fair. Packed into every corner of the grounds you can experience every facet of the British Countryside. Thousands joined in the fun watching everything from sheep racing to a full on jousting event. The Court is well placed and well organised for this annual event. It copes well with... More

First sight as we drove in was of a very attractive, village that we needed to walk around. The villagers were very friendly and welcoming. We walked for what seemed miles taking in the green, the canal and boats, marina, and especially the tea shop, best scones and cream tea by far,

This area is truly stunning. Long dog walks in the summer or winter. One of my favorite places with so much on offer. Horses, geese, sheep, for my little girl to walk amongst. In such a natural setting.

The reviewer of 7 September 2014 said it all... such a diversity of architectural styles is quite incredible. The way to appreciate this is to eat at The Bell then take the 'main' road down to the swing bridge nearby, take the Sharpness direction along The Severn Way and, then, cross the next swing bridge which will bring you back... Frampton-on-Severn is exceptional not only for its long wide green, but for its wonderful representation of every architectural style and period from the middle ages to the 20th century. One stunning big house after another, with the medieval timber-framed Manor House and classical stone turreted Frampton Court stealing the show against a wealth of competition. And the architectural delights continue... More

I walk my dog in the grounds on a fairly regular basis. It is a lovely place, very peaceful and tranquil.
