Spent a week in Tayvallich, stayed at the incredible Kirkside Cottage (stunning 5* accommodation for the family) with 2 young teenage boys. The village is small enough that the boys could go out on their bikes exploring & we adored the walks and incredible views...More

Visiting Scotland, we drove out from Glasgow into Argyllshire to see a few places of which we have memories. On the way back from Crinan, we detoured down the Knapdale peninsula to see Tayvallich where my father-in-law occasionally moored his sizeable concrete-hulled boat during the...More

We arrived on an early summers evening and sat at the inn overlooking the bay and enjoyed a couple of drinks. The bay is very picturesque with yachts etc bobbing in the waves. Quiet but very quaint. Worth a visit.

This delightful spot is reached by a very twisty and single-track road. It is a small harbour and bay which is well worth seeking out. Great place to have a picnic or let kids paddle in the shallow waters. I noticed some people had been...More
