Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Honestly I am not sure why this lake was included in our tour to Lake Sevan. It is small and looked dirty. As the weather was very bad, pretty much all facilities were closed, there were no people, it looked like in a horror movie due to the fog. If you need a lake then go to Lake Sevan.

I guess it all depends on what it is that you expect from a visit to Armenia. Me, I expect to see proud traditions, iconic historic sites and specific Armenian culture.
So this run-down Luna Park for children and family picknicks was an absolute waste of time for me. A small lake with paddle boats, a closed cafe and desolate rope park. All looking pretty sad and empty.

It is a nice place to visit. It's got some outdoor activities (zipline, air boat, ...). If you plan for dinning there I should say that there is no good restaurent there. There is only one with the worst manager ever. We sat on the table for 20 minutes and nobody came to ask what we want here. We called the waiters many times, they were saying wait we will come and the were leaving. There was a family before us having the same problem. They wait for 30 minutes and then left.

This is a fun place with great scenery, and things to do like zip lining, boating, and walking on rope bridges. They have cottages one can sleep in. Overall it is nice. But this place is really recommended for families with young kids.

They are offering zip line over the lake. Both me and my wife got hurt during landing. There was no breaking mechanism. I crashed into a tree, so I told them that they had to reduce the speed for my wife who came after me. She went from full speed to full stop and was thrown around.
Luckily we did not get seriously hurt. The staff who did not speak english were very unproffessional and did nothing to compensate for our bad experience. Not reccommended!

Otherwise the area is beautiful and worth a visit.

I've been there more than 7times.
If you want to go there the best option would be hire a taxi from Dilijan to the lake.
It's a beautiful lake hiding in the middle of the jungle and surrounded by green trees.
There is a very good restaurant with delicious local foods next to the lake.
There are 5 wooden (twin)rooms for accommodation and also you can rent a tent to sleep overnight and enjoy the pure nature.
It's a quiet place during the week and in the weekends you can meet the local Armenian families who come there for the lunch and fun.
There is a trekking route from the lake to the Goshavank and if you are interested to do trekking there you should have GPS or local guide and it takes between 1 to 2 hours.
There is opportunities like Rowing boat, Power boat, Shooting range, Table tennis and Bike to make a good day for yourself (You can ask the restaurant manager for these activities)

We visited Lake Parz in March 2015 and it was disgusting. There was trash everywhere. There were a few trash cans that were overflowing and tipped over. There were plastic bottles in the lake. There were dogs running about. Some guys were out on the water in a motor-boat type thing. There was a film of oil on the edge of the lake water from the boats. Perhaps during the summer it is in better shape, but in the winter/spring it was a tremendous let-down.

Actually, I cannot imagine it is any better in the summer since they allow motorboats on this tiny body of water and there's a shooting range! How peaceful could it possibly be if there is a SHOOTING RANGE?? This lake is part of the Dilijan National Park and people throw their trash everywhere and people are shooting into the woods. Gross. I do not recommend visiting Lake Parz.

Very scenic setting and pretty much geared up to the family picnic scene. Good starting point for an easy hike to Gosh.

My first trip outside of Yerevan was on a friend's suggestion a drive to Parz Lich and while the drive from Dilijan was a very rough road/track? that one reviewer found wanting, to be fair, one is in the middle of a very mountainous forest, so quite off the beaten track. To do the trip again I would prefer a 4-wheel as transport as our driver's saloon bottomed out a few times. In any case the idea was to get out of town, so a few bumps along the way was no big deal.
For some strange reason my 94-year old mother declined the zip line across the lake, preferring the shade of a cabin to eat the BBQ. BBQ grills at time of writing were 15,000 Drum for hire which was small change and the site was clean and litter free. Cabins were also available for overnight stays and I was told could sleep 4 persons.
We were not the only people there, but it certainly did not feel overcrowded and one had the feeling of the presence of people, yet a degree of seclusion.
