This was the base for our 5 day stay. Wonderful accomodation in the Lodges. Pity the Boat Inn was closed though.

We decided to rent a lodge for 6 people with hot tub, and were not disappointed. The lodge was well set out and catered for all, we had prepared for it being cold and inadequate. We were all pleasantly surprised that all the normal facilities were included, even tea, coffee, sugar, milk. A 6ft Xmas tree could complete with lights... More

Cosy, clean, well equipped log cabin in quiet, scenic surroundings. Very helpful, friendly staff on site. Good food with good service at the Boathouse Restaurant. Sitting in the squirrel hide it was a treat watching all the many species of birds and the most agile red squirrels prancing about. We were so lucky, the evening of our pre-booked observatory visit... More

We went up to see the last snow dog and went for a lovely walk along the reservoirs edge. Freya and robins story was a lovely read. The children were very taken with it. If you haven't read it - look for the gold hut.

We've just had a fabulous weekend at Leaplish Waterside Park at Kielder Water and Forest Park. There's a new show lodge (a forerunner of others which will arrive next year). Very luxurious with everything you need and items you don't but love anyway-the indoor outdoor barbecue, the star pod and the hot tub/ swim trainer! Watching the stars there is... More

This is a great place to come if you have kids as there is plenty to do. There are great views of the water. Nice little shop which sells everything from gifts to food. There is a small indoor pool and lots of outdoor stuff to do.
