Scammers disguised as priests do a Tilak (mark on forehead having religious significance) of foreigners and then ask for a donation. Because they know that 1$ is 64, so for foreigners 100-200 Indian rupees is not a very big amount. You are only needed to pay before entering at the ticket counter. And audio guide devices can be hired too.... More

This is an amazing marble temple with intricate sculptures in a serene location. Its a little out of the way and we visited there while driving from Jodhpur to Udaipur. Only thing that put us off a little was the blatant discrimination being practiced there. If you are a foreigner you pay Rs. 500 but what they don't tell you... More

Few hours drive from Udaipur took us to Ranakpur where stood the wonderful Jain Temple. It is a huge campus to accommodate a large number of devotees and travellers. The temple complex is elevated and made of stone. The pillars, domes and walls are depicting intricately curved designs and religious motifs. Several pillars narrate historic events like visit of emperor... More

visited the place in 2007, the place was a bit off located, and also there are some restrictions on camera, leather items, dress code inside the temple. But once you are inside, you will be mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the figures in marble. According to me it is more beautiful than the Taj

Although you end up paying INR 100 for using your camera inside but it is worth to capture some of the beautiful carvings. Get your best profiles pics clicked... More

Ranakpur Jain Temples are a symbol of Architecture Mastery. A Temple standing against tough times with 1444 Pillars and each carved Uniquely. This is one of the 2 jewels from the history Jainism. The other being the Delwara Temples. Ask the local priest to show you around the temple and tell you some history or one can take an Audio... More

In our way to Udaipur on March 31, 2017 my friend and I visited this art treasure: Ranakpur Jain Temple. Was an amazing experience, maybe one of the best. t is an exquisite work of art and architecture. It is one of the five major pilgrimages of the Jains. The Jain temples in Ranakpur are dedicated to Lord Adinath who... More
