you can go by foot following the beach or take a rickshaw to go to the spot. You will see nice small green perrots..A temple carved in the style of the temples of Mahabalipuram and some other sculptures.

The tiger cave is a cave in Mahabalipuram which has carvings of tiger on the cave mouth. It is a very peaceful and undisturbed place.Also there is a hidden beach which is an extension of the Mahabalipuram beach

It has most beautiful carving I our Indian history.It is a fantastic picnic spot, so you may want to plan your days,try make in there at lunch time.The stories here have to do with an event that occured with the goddess Durga.

If you have a car, it is well worth the 10 minutes drive from Mahabalipuram. There are 2 caves with very distinctive tiger carvings, situated within a small park next to the ocean.

A single large rock carved with tiger heads around the cave temple. With elephant and a horse carved to the left. I was surprised at the size and quality of the tiger head carvings. I was impressed with the original artists style and ability.
