The caves are truly beautiful but no english is spoken. There is a small guide in english but since it has no pictures it's not always clear what it refers to (most of the time it is, to be honest). The price is very reasonable, but regarding the timetables not all the informations you can find online are up to... More

This is one of those must see type of experiences. Breath taking sights that you will never forget Take a sweatshirt, coat, sturdy foot ware Be warned, not English speaking tour.... Be also warned at the end,,, don't miss the bus back to the start as we did... They must have announced via the tannoy but we were oblivious and... More

Its not a review after a visit. But a sort of seeking more information to visit. How to reach by public transport, getting down at popular gates ( as it seems from reviews there are many spots along the park, types of guided tours available and timings. Based on the reviews I decided this this a worth place of visit... More

Nice caves, interesting Tour but unfortunately not always english speaking guide present. Well constructed paths inside the cave, easy to walk here. Interesting to visit when weather is not so good. Too bad that there is no good bar or terrace to have a coffee and that they didn't make an effort to make something nicer of this place .... More

The Caves of Aggtelek Karst and Slovak Karst is a monumental World Heritage site, that is about 3 hours drive from Budapest (2 hours on freeway, 1 hour on smaller roads). There are several guided tours open to the public, with a large variation of difficulty level. We did the "Baradla Cave Intermediate Red Lake Tour" (Vöröstó - Jósvafő közepes... More

We ended up going to the Baradla caves by accident, as the caves we had gone to see weren't open. I'm so glad we came here. It was an amazing tour. Sometimes caves can get a bit boring, but not here. The hour tour flew by. The guide is hungarian, but you get a leaflet which talks through what the... More

The most incredible place to visit - a narrow fissure in the cliff face takes you into a huge labyrinth of caves. Impossible to describe the sheer scale of it. Tours last about an hour, we visited Summer 2015 and they were only in Hungarian - but there was so much to look at, this didn't matter. The National Park... More

Grottos in the national park. A shame that there are no guided tours in another language than Hungarian. Impressive halls in the mountain, but after a while a stalagtite is a stalagtite, whereever it is situated.

We were late by 1 minute for the tour which meant we had to wait another hour for the next tour. It was a bit disappointing at first as the woman at the ticket office couldn't explain the reason behind it nor suggest what we could do meanwhile (because of the language barrier). Fortunately, we saw a hiking trail leading... More
