There are tons of tourists here but if you avoid all the shops and just hike the trails it is a beautiful spot to enjoy nature. Even though Mt Fuji was mostly clouded in and there was no snow, it was still a worthwhile experience.

Summited Mt Fuji in August. It was an amazing experience. Started at the Sengen Shrine (traditional 1st station) summited and ended at 5th Station. Good tourist area for people who just want to do a day trip to Mt Fuji as well.
