If you want to get something different and memorable to remember your experience in Raro, you should visit this place. Just follow the blackboard signs on Muri, you will arrive Koteka's home/wine shop. Or you can catch him on Saturday market. But I recommend to visit him at his home to see and hear about how his wine and liqueur... More

I was very interested in tasting a few things but all that there was left was vodka nothing else which was pretty disappointing. I wanted to enjoy it but I didn't and we learned nothing....

Koteka's should be on everyone's list. This is the real thing - 3 generations of Cook Islands local manufacturing writ large! Koteka sits halfway up the hill off the main road in central Muri. It's effectively a private home that's been turned into a wine making facility - empty bottles stacked to half ceiling height and a continuous production line... More

I have been here & purchased from the market also over the past 5 years. It is consistently amazing! The tastes are unique but fantastic. You will never try anything like this anywhere. Koteka's "Backroom" brewroom is not what you would expect but shows a passion to brewing perfection! Look for the signs on the main Road before Muri if... More

Great operation, produces vanilla pods, wine, vodka etc. Happy for you to sample before buying. Highly recommend for a visit while in the island, plus purchase to get good quality unique liquor. The fresh vanilla pods are also worth purchasing and bringing home

Called in to Koteka on one of our drives around the island. Certainly not what we were expecting but very knowledgeable chap and only too willing to let you taste test his wares. He didn't have too much to sell us as he was still in the brewing stage and had sold most of his stock at the Saturday market... More

Less of a winery and more of a backyard still. Lots of bottles everywhere. There are no hygiene or cleanliness standards! But very a informative and nice guy. Unfortunately he was still brewing his wine and had run out. We settled for some vanilla pods and liquor instead. Certainly worth the side trip.

Very unique, interesting, and cool place to visit. Definitely off the beaten track with a local islander vibe. Not at all commercial. Mr. Koteka introduced me to a variety of great tasting wines and spirits. He has an incredible distillery going on. Vanilla beans and vanilla extract also available. Definitely worth a visit. Call before you plan to go.

Decided to cruise up to the Koteka winery as we were slowly making our way around the island one day. We had great fun here tasting various wines & liqueurs.

Went specifically after reading about it online. Not what I imagined from prior reviews. The back room where it's made was a little off putting, hygiene wise.
