Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of my favorite museums, loads to see, lots of artifacts and relics. Really interesting backstories as well.
A very friendly and authentically period museum.
We visit every time we are in the area.
Support this lovely place, donate and gift aid anything you can.

All of it was really good! The volunteers were all so helpful and kind especially to my best friends mum who has Alzheimers & limited mobility.
The museum is much bigger than I was expecting & jam packed with war memorabilia. The cafe was set out in typical 40s design and was a delight plus the cake was delicious! Would definitely recommend a visit here!

Excellent in every way.

Excellent value, staff, exhibits and café.

They're all volunteers and extremely knowledgeable about what happened in the skies above Kent in 1940.

A must visit museum.

Finally managed to find time to visit this lovely museum while visiting family. Its bigger than it looks and full of fascinating exhibits. The staff/volunteers are welcoming, friendly and clearly passionate about the museum and the history it represents. The human stories behind some of the exhibits really help to bring home the reality of life during ww2. The DH Vampire and percival trainer (remains of) are also interesting and hopefully saved from the scrap yard pending some sort of restoration/preservation.
It's a fabulous little museum to spend a few hours in, loads to see and full of atmosphere.
If possible, find time to visit the memorial near the site of the ALG at Newchurch too.

A visit with grandsons. I have often driven past the roundabout and seen the signs for this museum and wonder now why we had not visited before. For any child doing a project around the local history, the war, the land army etc this brings things to life. It’s very well laid out with helpful people if you want to ask anything. Of course you can’t leave without buying a model aeroplane to make (and it was nice that souvenirs were not overpriced).

My husband suggested this great museum while planning our tour of Kent. It was our first stop of planned visits and I'm so pleased he found it! There is so much to see and we wandered around at our leisure, an amazing museum, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We visited with our young sons and grandparents and had an enjoyable visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly. So much to look at. The kids enjoyed going in the aeroplane cockpit! £5 entry isn’t much at all considering what you get to see and it’s all for a good cause. Will probably go back again next year.

We were greeted by a gentleman on arrival who attached himself like a limpett to us throughout our visit. We were very surprised and disappointed to see the general state of decay of the exhibits and that no obvious attempt had been made to conserve them. To illustrate, their star exhibit as we were told was a Vampire (picture attached) which was in a very poor state. The cafe wasn't open either, if you have such a facility then make sure it is open. Also most items unlabelled. Overall very disappointing.
