About
Sitting in the heart of the Cotswolds, Cotswold Farm Park has a long-standing reputation for a fun-filled day out. Visitors of all ages can interact closely with the animals and learn about farming, past and present. As the home of rare breed conservation, visitors can meet over 50 flocks and herds of farm animals, including Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs and Highland cattle. The indoor barns can be enjoyed all year round, as they are undercover and protected from the elements. With an adventure playground, Tractor School, Sand pits and Jumping pillows, there’s lots of entertainment for children of all ages. The on-site restaurant, serving seasonal food and Adam’s own beer, is a hit with the adults. There’s plenty to offer outside the Farm Park too. Experience the stunning diversity of animals and plants by completing the two mile Wildlife walk, or extend your stay by booking a pitch on the campsite or stay in a luxury lodge. We hope to see you soon!

    Excellent place to visit
Such a lovely place to visit. Went to see the lambing and was wonderful. Talk given was very informative. Have a lovely area for children to pet and hold the animals. The staff are so helpful. I would highly recommend taking the children but just my husband and I went and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

    Great with kids
Fabulous day with three toddlers and a baby! Lots of time spent in the sandpits, on the air pillow, in the playgrounds, and on the ride on tractors. Saw newborn lambs and chicks, held a chick and stroked the rabbits. Loved feeding the highland cattle but saved the rare breeds and woodland walks and the mud kitchen for next time! Plenty to do and really well organised. Easy to picnic or buy food. My only suggestion for improvement would be more loos and some toddler sized loos or some toddler/family seats.

    Well set up but expensive
We were kindly gifted a membership and our 6 month old likes watching the animals and playing in the indoor sand pit, but for toddlers up to about 6 or 7 years old I can imagine it would be paradise. There were a lot of play areas and the place is well set up for families with large undercover picnic areas and friendly staff. That said I probably won't renew my membership when it runs out and we will just come very occasionally as a special treat. Although it's a nice place with animals that are well looked after it is extremely commercial and a bit over 'curated'. The entrance fees are high, and so are the food prices inside. When we went in February half term there were plenty of people about, but given that there was lots of construction going on and most catering outlets were shut, I can imagine that this was nothing and that in high season it gets very busy indeed. We were quite surprised when we went that there weren't actually that many different sorts of animals there - only one breed of cattle, no pigs and no horses.

Great day but one improvement necessary
We had a great day out here, so much to do you can easily spend 4 hours + here. Just an important observation that I’d personally like to see changed; in the animal barn the staff hand chicks to people in a small basket for the chicks to be petted. They do this at certain times of day so understandably it gets busy and there’s just lots of chicks being handed out in chaos to be honest. The staff didn’t offer any safety advice for the chicks, of which were also being handed to children with no adult present. Unfortunately for one chick, a child picked the chick out of the basket and balanced the chick on one hand… the chick toppled off her hand falling from quite a height on to the floor. It appeared ok but the poor little thing had quite a scare! I strongly feel they should give a calm briefing to all before handing out the chicks.

    A great day out
An excellent day out with family, including great grandson aged 6. What a delightful place, especially for the little ones. Despite having had so much rain, the route round was very accessible. It was lovely to be able to get close to the animals and the children loved being able to hold the tiny chicks and feed the farm animals. The signage was very well done and interesting. It was good to see the hand washing facilities. The children could let off steam in the play areas and the restaurant and shop were first class.

    Fantastic day out.
Fantastic day out. We went on the 9th March and used the mums go free deal. Our family consist of 2 daughters, one who is 9 years old and one who is 11 months old, and us parents. What we found was that the Cotswold Farm Park had something for all of us to enjoy. It had been a while since i last went and so I was pleasantly surprised with the changes and improvements that had been made. The additional walkways was great for ease of moving around the farm park and the change in layout to the small barn made it a much more enjoyable experience as it wasn't as loud as it had been in the past. We enjoyed feeding the animals in the main park, stroking and holding animals in the small barn and it was lovely to see new lambs that had recently been born in the large barn.

Wet day but still most enjoyable
What a lovely day even though very wet. We took our grandaughter (14months) and she was mesmerized by all the animals. It was lovely to share that experience with her. All the staff were very friendly and it's a well organised site. We will come back

Animals and children what’s not to like
Lovely family trip out to Cotswold Farm Park yesterday! Easy to book online, good quality well laid out facilities for animals and visitors. My young grandchildren loved it. Just one criticism would be there didn’t seem enough staff for the catering so we had to wait a long time for food at lunch time. We will be back ! But will take picnic next time……

    Best farm!
We visit here once or twice a year, absolutely love it! The animals are so well looked after, the whole place is clean and tidy. Great interaction for the children and lots of fun things to do. Lots of outside space and equipment for the children to play on. Staff are friendly and helpful as well as extremely knowledgeable on their animals. There’s always something going on here to enjoy. Great areas to eat your own picnic, inside or out and a great cafe/restaurant too. Can’t recommend here enough! My family love it here!!

    Great day out
Last minute decision to go but very well worth it. Clean and tidy. Staff were cheerful and polite. Great play area for the kids and the animals were well looked after. The only gripe was the queues for the toilets and coffee. Overall a great day out and will be going back.

We stayed here August Bank Holiday weekend. We are lucky to have a camper van and we camped Fri, Sat & Sun. We have stayed at over twenty sites this year and this was by far the noisiest site we’ve been on. People screaming and carrying on until midnight and then kids up and screaming and shouting at 7am. Also feral kids dumping bikes, toys, food and food wrappers etc on ours & other peoples pitches was different. All that said the site was ok, the showers/ loo’s and washing up facilities were good and the pitches were flat. The Farm Park itself was ok, I wouldn’t have been impressed if I had just come for a day trip as it would have cost us over £50 for the day for three of us! And although it is nice there isn’t that much to do there. I reckon you could do everything in two hours. There are obviously rare breed sheep, goats, cows and pigs, bunny’s, Guinea pigs, ducks and chickens. There’s a couple of play parks and bouncy things to keep the kids entertained but for that money I would expect more “hands on” activities and tractor rides or something. There is a weird Maize maze at the moment that doesn’t go anywhere and a flower garden with sunflower’s which you can buy. The three nights camping and two and half days in the park cost us around £200 so much better value. I disagree with the people complaining about the price of things on site. I didn’t think the prices were too bad. The wait at the bar for food and drink and the coffee kiosks were unnecessarily long, just needed one extra member of staff. I don’t think we would go back but I would recommend it if you’re camping as I think it’s so much better value.

I would highly recommend this venue for a great day out for adults with children. We really felt we got our money's worth for the high cost of admission charged. The main food outlet is very expensive with no simple options available. The bread baskets were all empty so we couldn't even have a roll and butter. We found out afterwards (and hopefully this will be helpful to people reading this), you can get a reasonably priced sandwich at Feasts, the outdoor food outlet, but if it's pouring with rain, you can expect to pay at least £15 for a hot sandwich in the restaurant.

Went for the Enchanted Christmas lights which was beautiful there and was nice to donas a family only downside for us
was all the extra which you had pay for like seeing santa feed for the animals ,build a bear, make ginger bread and marshmallows on the fire which was all lovley but with kids they want to do everything and when they see things they want it.
We only paid for the exspirence and build the bear which just to do that was 19.50 we did not mind as it was Christmas and wanted to make it a memorable moment.
As money is tight and cost of everything gone up we try to book prehead and save what can so on day children don't have to go without.
We paid to build bear thinking everything be included so that cost of entry to the light trail and food.
The extra you need to pay there was not said on booking otherwise would made sure paid or brought more money so had one upset boy as he wanted outfit.
Part from that the lad had amazing time and in his words the lights was magnificent and his favourite bit was being able to toast marshmallows on the fire .

I was really disappointed with my visit here, the cafe was extremely overpriced, £9 for a small sausage roll which really didn’t taste nice at all and my daughter couldn’t eat hers. The queue to get into the cafe was really long and I had brought lunch for my youngest daughter as she’s a super fussy eater, as I was sat waiting for my order, a lady abruptly came over to ask if I had ordered food in the cafe to which I started going through my order, she then said that’s enough and walked off. At the end of the day I went to use the disabled toilets, my daughter has disabilities, the cleaner walks past and says to one of my children, that toilet is for disabled people. I was furious and went out to explain my youngest daughter is disabled, she just stormed off. Going out with kids on your own is difficult enough, without getting judged by the staff there and them making it harder for you.

the park itself is great. The food on the other hand is horrendous. £50 for two burger and chips and a child’s chicken and chips.

Burgers were dry and made me and my partner have a bad tummy for two days. My daughter’s chicken, well I’m appalled they think this is okay. Red inside.

She couldn’t eat it. Over priced food that makes you ill. I’ve emailed 3 times but the park are just ignoring us. I would strongly recommend people to take their own food and avoid the restaurant.

The farm park is lovely and the animals are nice to see, there are some nicely done bits and bobs for kids but there isn’t an huge amount of natural outdoor space. It is not like visiting s farm really - more like a playground/theme park. There is a barn with toy diggers to ride and a massive sandpit which littles kids love... the biggest issue is it was just too busy - madly busy actually which means it isn’t very relaxing to visit. Maybe we just went on a very popular weekend though. It is also very expensive for what it is to the point of just seeming s bit money grabbing which is off putting. there is not much for older kids there, anyone older than 9 will be done after a couple of hours. In short - a five year old is going to have an amazing time but the parents and older kids might not think it’s worth the price.

It's our third visit camping and we've always had such a good time. Sadly this time the prices for food and drink were astronomical, which would be understandable if the food was 5* but unfortunately it was poor, over cooked, not representative of what the advertising of the 'ox shed' food around the site (see photograph). As we were camping we had planned into our budget to eat several meals at the onsite facilities, not wanting to cook an evening meal every night. Our solo experience of 'grill night ' and a bill of nearly £50 for a single adult meal and two kids meals was extortionate. The kids food was overcooked and in the large part inedible. The burger ordered was poorer quality than you would expect from the 'golden arches' fast food chain, disappointing given that it's locally sourced rare breed meat, and the photographs shown of this exact burger all around the site looked mouthwateringly good. I have no problem budgeting for good quality food, or restaurant prices, but when the food is poor quality and the service bad, it really feels like daylight robbery. On the last day we were packing to go and the kids brought a croissant and a cinnamon bun to take out, with a small coffee for myself. It came to £11. Not sure how such prices are justified on a campsite, to a captive market of family campers.

We’ve been coming to Cotswold Farm Park for years and I am very sad to see the standards go downhill so progressively over the last couple of years. Today we’ve taken 2 kids to see Santa, a day out that cost way over £100 in entrance fees/a couple of bites to eat for 2 adults and 2 kids, one of them being only 18 months.

This is what we’ve been served after sending back our onion soup, which was horrible
due to the amount of sugar? added to it. You couldn’t stomach it. When we asked for some alternatives, we’ve been dished out a side of burned pigs and blankets and some hash browns (not pictured) which were raw in the middle and covered in flaming hot sauce (this wasn’t mentioned on the menu).

The staff working in the restaurant were grumpy, unapproachable and unwelcoming. Moreover, we’ve had to queue to get these ‘treats’ for over 20min.

The Santa experience in itself was good, however the experience in the restaurant has spoilt our day completely. Sort it out, Cotswold Farm Park. This is unacceptable.

The location is lovely, with easy access to beautiful Cotswold walks. The caravan pitch was great, with drinking water and grey water disposal. The toilets and showers were immaculate and the showers hot. The restaurant has more of a canteen feel, but the choice of food is very good and the staff always helpful and friendly.
The farm park and barns are really geared towards families with children, so the £150 for two nights isn’t great value for money for us as a couple. The restaurant was full of noisy, excited children, so an evening meal with a glass of wine isn’t really what it’s designed for.
(Please replace the chairs with ones that don’t screech when they’re moved 🤣).
It’s an exceptionally well run site and great for a day trip with the kids. A bit pricey for an adults only weekend.
Finally, our dog was distressed by the constant gun fire for most of the Saturday we were there. (Probably not something they can control!)

We visited yesterday and my kids (boys aged 9 and 3) absolutely loved it. Highlights were the large bouncy cushions - my youngest didn’t want to leave! And the animal handling barn. The whole site is really cleverly designed and very attractive and at every kids activity we liked the fact that a coffee place was nearby! Food was reasonably priced and unlike other places where you pay and then get charged again for activities like face painting, it was included. My 9yr old said it was really fun and we will definitely be back.
