We visited here in May while staying in Gualdo Tadino. Although very heavy on the religious iconography it is, none the less, a very well laid out local museum with some interesting exhibits.The castle itself is a fine piece of architecture with some excellent views across the town and towards the mountains. The staff are very friendly and helpful. For 6 Euro, a ticket provides admission to all five museums and exhibitions in Gualdo Tadino.…

Starting with the small-scale, simple, yet impressive architecture of this castle, its interior spaces lead us onto a multi-faceted journey through time. We are new to this territory and experienced this museum as a fine introduction to various aspects of the territory's history, art and culture. Warmly recommended.…

You need to allow a lot of time to get around this Castle/Museum which is fascinating. There is much more inside to see than you think and it is well presented.

This former fortress, then hospital, then prison, and now museum is well preserved. Its display of art and ceramics (one of the specialities of the town) are worth seeing.
