We were staying down the road at a hotel and Bali Port was suggested for food as there was nothing open where we were (we stayed for a week in April).
We were disappointed in how the Port looked so aged, as though it was still in the 70/80s. Many places weren’t open, again we realise we went out of season, but it all looked so tired and in need of a facelift.
I’d like to think it would look better in the holiday season but it needs a lot of work.

Old Port Beach (Limani) is located in the old center of Bali. It includes two small beaches as well as a marina where pleasure boats and motor boats are moored. It is especially beautiful here in the evening.

Great place for a beach day, lots of places to eat, food delivered to your sunbed if you want it. Lot's of beautiful fish to look at if you are into snorkelling.

Spent a day on the beach here after visiting two other beaches for a day. Set in a small bay with a harbour wall to the left which protects the bay on days when the sea can be a little rough. Two sunbeds and a parasol for 7 euros. The sea was very clear when we came so its good for snorkelling. Boats and jet skis available for hire at a reasonable price when compared to other resorts. Only downsides are the beach is small and can get very crowded. And the sun beds are fairly close together

The old port is still a working one used by fishing boats, dive boats & tourist trip vessels alike. There is some parking along a wall near the edge of the harbour but manoeuvring to leave the area can be tricky due to the closeness of the edge, there is however, ample parking a short walk away.
A walk along to the end of the harbour gives a good view across the bay to Livadi beach in one direction & Karavostasi beach in the opposite.
Turning to face inland gives a panorama of the small beach & the tavernas & bars that face it.There's also a good selection of small shops on the way back up to the carpark along with a street food outlet.
Looking up towards the hills if you're lucky you can see raptors like buzzards & golden eagles & along the harbour, where the boats moor, you can see shoals of small fish nibbling discarded bread & other items from the fishing boats & there is also a chance that you could see a sea turtle swimming around the boats as we did about three years ago.

This is a really quaint spot. Dotted around the small port beach, there are restaurants, bars and markets. Yes, it gets busy in the high season, but it doesn't take away from its charm. Yes the beach is small, but if you walk just around the cove you'll find what I think is the best beach in Bali.

The picturesque port of Bali has a small, very crowded, but clean beach. A lot of German tourists here. Good prices at the beachfront tavernas. The water is not as clean as you will find mostly everywhere else around Crete. My son liked the little fish in the water - fun to look at.
The beach, called Limani in Greek, is well organized, with sunbeds and umbrellas. Some watersports available.

Great little port out of the way with a lovely small sandy beach and great restaurants, only visited for a short period to have drinks etc but found the people very friendly and the area to be clean. Great for lunchtime meal with great views as you go up the hill with more restaurants to eat in.

This is a sweet little spot to sip a coffee or play in the water. The bay was quite calm even though the sea had some decent waves. I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to find this, however. There isn't much to do if you don't feel like swimming or sitting at a cafe.

Hi , I’m returning to Bali next week, one of my favourite places. Does anyone know of a hotel gym that can be paid for and used by non residents. I know there used to be one in the high street ,but that has closed down now.

Hi ! am staying in Bali September 2018 and was wondering if there's any advice for young people for places to visit? We do not drive but any good places to see would be very helpful!!

Without driving your staying here will be uncomfortable and boring. Nevertheless discover tripadvisor points: some of them are achieved by city transport and excurtions
