Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really enjoyed our two visits here. It’s the only beach on the island that has some sea glass (very small pieces!!) so we enjoyed walking along the black sand looking for treasure.

There are several restaurants along the seafront, and we found great salads and good wines. Lovely places to sit and while away an hour or two. One end of the beach is well protected by a breakwater, and people were enjoying swimming there.

For shopping … there’s a little supermarket, a pharmacy and two good tourist shops, both with hats and nice clothing for sale.

Note that ATOW the road between Tazacorte and Puerto is cut by a landslide, so you have to drive a long way round, or walk through.

Marvellous spot at the shores of the Atlantic ocean. Lively atmosphere, music, people, good food. Interesting commercial marina nextdoor with more good restaurants.

Really pretty port, plenty of restaurants, black sand beach, access to boat trips for whale watching etc. A great atmosphere, not very "touristy".

Lovely little coastal village with so much charm.
We only stopped for an hour or so, to eat our packed lunch & enjoy the atmosphere of the place.
Plenty of eateries & a long black sand beach.
Some very nice pretty original looking buildings, unfortunately a few modern looking ones which look out of place.
One of those places where modern doesn't belong.

It's a small quiet town with friendly atmosphere, beautiful views and nice restaurants. There is a nice view over the sea and banana fields.

Once we discovered this area. We visited almost every day. Our experience was that there was more sun and higher temperatures here than on the west side of the island

We took a transfer bus from Los Cancejos (45mins) to this place with a varied character. The beach was long and uncrowded backed by cafes and restaurants, At the other end of the bay was a large marina with trip boats for dolphin/whale watching. Some impressive architecture with the recent huge sea defence constructions.
Our favourite part however was the town above the beach/marina on the cliff top. It was a 20 min. uphill walk but well worthwhile with impressive seviews and again a large selection of cafes and bars. The main square was being impressively renovated on our visit. Walking through the back streets was very interesting with buildings and small squares hundreds of years old. Lanes too narrow for cars in lots of places with nicely renovated and decorated houses.
Easily enough to keep you busy for the day.

If you are looking for a lazy town and somewhere to get away from it all then this is the place. A lovely port town with some excellent fish restaurants. Too many pizzerias, but fine if you love pizza! Great gin bars, would highly recommend "Ferret's & Marten's", with a small but great gin bar round the corner called "The Gin bar". Worth staying at for some hikes and beach activities. Not a lot of shops, just food and drink!

So so happy to have found Tazacorte. A true hidden gem, stunning clean waters, beautiful black sands and an incredible and dynamic back drop with epic cliff faces and the mountains in the distance (especially whilst we were there as it was -3'c up at the top of the mountains and 24'c at the beach!).

We were also serenaded each visit by talented buskers along the stretch of cafes and restaurants.

Plenty of places to eat and drink also we thoroughly enjoyed visiting this beach - which we ended up doing every day or night despite having an AirB'n'B almost 30 minutes away.

Be prepared to pay for sunloungers.
