We have eaten wonderful breakfasts here and decided to try the afternoon tea. We were not disappointed at all. It was mid afternoon and the place was absolutely full of happy diners. The waitress apologised that we would have a while to wait to be seated but it was definitely worth the wait. The plates were overflowing with freshly baked... More

What a fabulous place to find went for a drive on a recommendation of a friend to visit this unusual place on arriving we thought don't know but after a nice walk round I'm looking at the vehicles we then ventured into the cafe which was a really good experience as grandparents and my children and their children walked into... We visited mid-week for lunch. The decor is kitsch Fifties, pleasing aside from an overly loud soundtrack. We had baked omlettes which were very tasty and tea for two. Our wait for food was around 40 minutes so we were a little surprised when the waitress asked if we wanted anything else and brought an unsolicited bill. Before we have... More

We were traveling back from Huddersfield after a night away. We were recommended here by a friend and was not disappointed. The full cooked breakfast was great. The carding shed had plenty to look at old cars, bikes and vintage clothing and shoes for the Mrs to look through. Thank you to the team working brilliant.

Having heard about this place, thought I would treat my partner to lunch and we weren't disappointed at all. The surroundings as you approach might make some people think twice, but once inside there is a delightful cafe nestled within a treasure trove of motoring memorabilia. The staff were polite and attentive, the selection of food on the menu was... More

This is a great place for a spot of afternoon tea, or a light meal. Situated within the Carding Shed, there are some lovely vintage shops, selling gorgeous 50's style dresses, and shoes! The Oil Can cafe is decked out in retro fifties style too. Next door is a vintage car and motorcycle museum, which is definately worth a look... More

Having ridden over from Donny we were ready for a decent cafe stop and we ignored the usual Holmfirth favourites and headed for this place. It was worth it! Saturday afternoon at midday is obviously a busy time! We waited around ten mins for a table of four and were gutted to miss out on the breakfast menu. However toasties,... More
