Observe whales, seals and seabirds near the shore. Our guides are there to answer your questions. Bring a picnic and a windbreaker. Enjoy a virtual dive in the St. Lawrence, an enchanting sensory experience! The "St. Lawrence Live" activity gives you the opportunity to ask the divers questions and request that they look for a particular animal for you. Consult the schedule and phone for reservations. Dive or snorkel in the St. Lawrence! The Marine Environment Discovery Centre has one of the most fully equipped diving bases in the province of Québec. Take advantage of the amenities and services available on site: guided dives, equipment rentals, air filling station, hot showers and fresh water tank to rinse your gear. Safe and easy access to the water. Professional divers available to guide you. Learn more about the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park and the St. Lawrence Estuary, the largest estuary in the world, by visiting the centre's exhibit, which will also tell you about the history of the St. Lawrence beluga.

This is a great place to get lots of information about the Saint Lawrence River and it's inhabitants. A great place to spend on a hour or so.

We found this museum to be better than the one in Tadoussac. While the Tadoussac one only concerns marine mammals, this one covers the marine environment and animal life of the entire area. The exhibits are creative and well done. The employee there was enthusiastic and very helpful. Great experience!

Deep water comes close to shore here, so we had better luck seeing Belugas here than even Pointe Noire or Baie Ste. Marguerite. Also harbor porpoises. You do need to sit patiently for an hour or so, since they're not always there. In cold weather, you can see very well from tables inside the windows (bring snacks). Great film and... More

worth just pulling in for info and chance to view whales from patio area. lots of info on coast, animals etc
