Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This Temple of Apollo was the 4th largest in the ancient Greek world. I love all the symbolism in the designs and the fallen column at the backside of the temple.

Absolutely stunning place to visit to absorb some of the ancient culture of the country. The size and scale of the ruins cannot fail to impress when you read the information boards and realise the walls were originally 3 times higher. Very exposed so wear a hat and strong footwear. Plenty of cafes outside for much needed refreshments.

Fascinating view into the Hellenic age. The scale of this site is impressive. As its so open it can be melting hot on some warmer days. Nice selection of shops nearby to get refreshments.

You can only imagine what this site must have been like when it was constructed! It is impressive and what is left, is well kept.

Didn’t go with a tour guide but managed to learn from Wikipedia and tourist boards.

Amazing experience and unusual to be able to get so close to a historic place

We toured the Temple of Apollo with a tour from our cruise ship. Our guide was Joseph, and he was very informative. The site is very impressive, and excavations were going on when we were there. The site was bigger than I thought it would be and I was surprised to see so many of the larger columns still standing and intact. Make sure you get close to the columns and other stone structures to view the carvings, since they contain much intricate detail. Wear good shoes since some areas were a little slippery.

An amazing structure! Although a lot of the large pillars have fallen due to earthquake damage a vast majority of it is well preserved and looked after. Entry fee was next to nothing with as much time as you want to spend inside and take in the structure.

You can enter free of charge with the museum card you purchased before. Since it is a very old historical structure, you get that ambiance inside. When you look carefully, there are shapes and writings on the stones from the period they were made. Since the temple is very old, its stones were broken and some parts of it were strengthened in order to keep it standing and not cause danger.
