We weren't actually planning on stopping & doing anything, but as we drove past a friend spotted it on Google Maps so we did a little detour to see what it was about. We're so happy we did! It's the most gorgeous, scenic spot, even just to have a picnic or to stretch your legs. We decided to get a canoe and a kayak between the 4 of us & we were so so impressed by the value! We absolutely loved it, the loch is stunning & everything is organised so safely what with COVID and things. We had the best (unexpected) time. Thanks, guys! :)…

What a wonderful place, staffed by terrific people, with lots of things to do. Great for a wander in the woods, a play in Kids Kingdom, a Pedalo adventure, or something with instruction - like canoeing or paddle boarding. The whole team were great - but Ritchie and Eilidh deserve special mention for being absolutely wonderful to deal with. We discovered the beach at Loch Insh late into our trip, but the few hours we spent there were wonderful. The scenery is stunning, the facilities are lovely, the staff incredible, and even the Osprey came out to put on a show above us. The equipment is well maintained, and the procedures they have in place for COVID-19 are effective but not intrusive. We were due to return for a visit and an activity - but I got us lost in a Glen in Newtonmore, with no phone signal, and an hour walk turned into 5 hours, so we missed our return visit - much to my dismay. But, we will be back. The food is pricey, but looked very good quality (we didn't eat) and the coffees etc is better than expected. They have a well stocked shop, and the toilets are immaculate. Parking can be an issue as people go and stay for a good while, but generally you will find a space if you are persistent. The kids parks are excellent - our children could have spent an entire day there; little zip lines, slides, climbing equipment, and various other things like 3 seated seesaws and interesting roundabouts. The parks really are lovely. The walks around the loch are great too; wonderful for dogs (of which we had 2), and the serenity and peace is medicine for the soul. Within 3 minutes you forget you are at a busy beach activities centre, and just fall in love with nature. The loch, the woods, the food, the nature, the activities etc are all exceptional - but the true stars of the show are the staff. They really are a cracking team (especially Richie, Eilidh, James, and the red headed fellow, and blonde headed girl) really take a beautiful place and make it truly exceptional.…

Stopped off here after viewing the website for the views (which proved to be stunning) but the food proved to be even better at the boathouse. the Cullen Skink and Haggis bonbons a joy to eat and a great taste of Scotland. Also new Covid measures were well explained and in place.

We stayed four nights here and while the accomodation is cramped, we were only using it to sleep and shower in. Maybe if the weather hadn't been perfect, low twenties and sunny, we would have felt diffently. The staff at the beach were great, and out canoe trip on the River Spey from Kingussie was excellent.…

Thank you for taking the time to review us on trip advisor. Great to hear the feedback about the beach staff - we will pass this on to them. We are also happy to hear you enjoyed the trip from Kingussie to the Loch - it is such a scenic stretch of River to do!
