Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The views and walks inside the Combe Valley Countryside park are to die for.

Large country park developed after the building of a new road between Bexhill and Hastings. Lots of opportunities for picking blackberries and to see some wildlife like bees, butterflies and birds. We passed by a lake with two people fishing. It’s a shame there was some rubbish left by the shore. Some earth was also piled up and needed landscaping. We went up a hill and passed by a water treatment plant. The smell around that area wasn’t nice but we were rewarded with nice vistas and open fields after a little while. It might be an idea to have a hide in the future for birdwatching near the water.

Would it be possible to place a few seats/benches on the main path route , particularly the bank area opposite the wild ponds , as at it would be great to view the wild life from there

The park was developed following the building of a new road through the area. This had a lot of opposition, but the outcome is this lovely park, which has been carefully landscaped so that you are hardly aware of the road itself. There are plenty of footpaths, cycle paths, ponds and wetland areas. If you walk along the disused railway section starting at the Sidley end you will see lots of bluebells in the woods at the moment. A very peaceful place to lose yourself during the lockdown.

There was concern when a new road was built through this area, but the result has been a lovely country park with so many different walks, wetland areas, ponds, cycle route and more. The landscaping is very good making it difficult to see where the new road is. We walk from the Bexhill end - at the moment the bluebells are delightful along the side of the disused railway section. A relaxing place where you can get away from everyone.
