This has the potential to be a great place but it needs some real work to get up to the standard of other visitor attractions in Barbados. For a start it's not the easiest place to find and there's only a tiny sign to let...More

After an educational and most interesting visit of Grantley Adams’ home and an inside view of a typical chattel house, we stopped at the heritage village rum bar for a light lunch. We chose the chicken soup which was simply the tastiest we ever had;...More

Very interesting (small) Heritage Village. Actually closed on the day we went but were told we could still walk around but there wasn't a tour available. Good insight into times gone by. Really enjoyed getting close to the chattel houses and walking amongst them.

The house was quite interesting, but has been neglected & is in much need of some TLC. Everything was covered in dust & grime & although the lady on reception was friendly & welcoming, there was no guided tour or information. The surrounding chattel village...More

Good tour for anyone looking for something a little off the beaten path. There are quite a few chattel houses here, for anyone who likes the traditional Bajan architectural style as well as Sir Grantley Adams, the first premier of Barbados', home. Its a quick...More

Stopped here during a cruise tour. The tour guide was extremely knowledgable. I agree with a previous reviewer that had we just walked around it would have been disappointing. Her stories and history were thought provoking and you could visualize what she saying as you...More

Once we managed to find it we were made very welcome by Jonelle who did an excellent guided tour. As we are UK National Trust Members we had free entry but felt moved to make a donation. Rum and fruit punch was available. The total...More
