Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Brilliant selection of traditional Cypriot sweets, preserves and jams, candied nuts and bars, and syrups. There are also teas, spices and oils. The shop is in a pretty spot in the shade on the mountains. It’s a great way to see traditional and authentic Cypriot products and the prices are also fantastic! It is also great you can try a lot of things before you buy. There is a huge selection including some much more unusual items.

This was one of the places to visit on the Authentic Cyprus whole day trip we went on with Thomson. As the token Diabetic with a bad heart condition, I could not go down into the factory section demonstrating the making of the confectionery sold in the shop. BUT, I did stay upstairs and spent all MY time, shopping and gift buying. There is so much to choose from, and you do have to be aware of your luggage weight going home...I could have filled another suitcase here, but seriously...you MUST come and see, sample all that's here. It is truly my hubby's favourite place. The jams and pastes are fabulous, so he says...ha ha ha...Munching on his Rose water coated almonds at the same time. The honey is AMAZING!!!!

The carrot and olive spoon sweets we sampled are especially delicious! We took home carrot, walnut and olive glyko to remind us of our visit to Agros and Potamitissa.

We drove 1.5 hours to get there, a bit disappointed by the 5min tour of the facilities. Jam and preserves are amazing but only go if you are in the area.

A lovely small family factory and shop . Hand made jams , marmalades and a large selection of sweets delights .
If you choose to stay in Agros as a base for your Troodos tour as we happily did - do pay a visit to this very very nice place . It may not be a must but it is a sweet treat . Ask lovely Adriana for a short tour of the factory - it's worth it !!! We sure did enjoy the tour and bought some goodies to take back home .

The visit is mainly inside the factory’s shop - which is full of interesting and sweet products. The highlights are definitely the jams, which come in all flavors and sizes. You can find some unique and characteristic products inside.

This is where you can experience the traditional Cypriot way of producing sweets, marmalades and ' soutzoukos', the traditional sweet that looks like candles. This chewy sweet is made from grape juice. First almonds or walnuts are dipped into water to soften them, then they are threaded onto strings up to 3 metres long. They are then dipped repeatedly into a mixture of ' moustalevria' about 3 to 5 times.
Niki sells her products all over Cyprus and exports as far afield as Australia. She makes marmalades, fig preserves and walnut sweets. Many of her preserves offer natural soothing and healing properties. For example, carob syrup is purported to be a natural treatment for osteoporosis.
It is open daily from 9am until 6pm and prices start at about €3.00.
