We have previously passed this castle and on this trip decided to have a look. Free parking at the bottom of the hill. A nice steady walk up hill to the castle. This is a free attraction and open all year. A good castle ruin...More

After following a path through moss covered trees it was fascinating to pass through the gate and walk up to this old castle ruin. The rooms are very interesting to walk through and explore. The stairs are quite skinny and scary to walk on in...More

Decided to visit on a whim and am very glad we took the time. I love castle ruins and this didn't disappoint. It was possible to climb to the top for a wonderful view of Kilmartin Glen.

.5 mile walk v v easy to a well kept ground if the castle. Though its not huge by any standards you can climb 5 flights of stairs to get good views. Well worth a look and an ice way to spend an hour

Totally free and totally worth the pretty easy walk up the hill from the parking lot. We had the castle completely to ourselves for the hour we were there and it was a wonderful experience to explore it and the surrounding grounds in quiet solitude....More

Great views and worth going to top walkway if fit enough and can keep your head down. It sets. Your research buds a going on its history and occupants.

A lovely spot, about a kilometer's walk from a car park off the road. It's set in countryside with sweeping views of hills and valleys with nothing to disturb you but the sound of sheep. The castle has Renaissance decorative features which makes it look...More
