This is a great outing with Lindsay, the skipper saying just enough and keeping the comments light-hearted. The visit to the whirlpools of CorryVrecken was amazing... the power of the Sea Leopard's twin 400 hp engines made us feel quite confident. The boat being a cat is very stable and we just enjoyed cruising round the Sound of Jura. The... More

Whilst the aim of the trip was to see wildlife, the experience of being in the boat and enjoying the amazing scenery was the best part. Lindsay, our able skipper, was able to take us out to Jura to experience the Correyvreckan whirlpool, and pointed out interesting things on the way like rare seals, feral goats and general knowledge about... We had a wonderful day out with an excellent and well informed, very friendly host. The boat is comfortable and equipped with tea/coffee/fresh water you can help yourself to. The scenery was lovely and it was great to see so much bird life, sea eagle, osprey, guillemots, kittiwakes, skuas etc. Saw seals and porpoises, and red deer on Scarba. The... More

had a lovely trip. great views and sightings of porpoises, seals, and an osprey. The Correyvreckan whirlpool was worth every penny. Good skipper with a dry sense of humour.

We had a fabulous run out to the Corryvreckan whirlpool and beyond with Lindsay - skilled skipper, resourceful guide and genial conversationalist. It was a chilly and windy day, so we alternated between the decks and the cost cabin, where water and hot drinks were available ( and welcome!). He told us all about the history of each island we... Had a super two hour trip with Lyndsey today. Went to Corryvreckan whilst at low tide so nice and quiet, which is what I wanted! Was able to see the underwater landscape in the wheelhouse to unspderstand what causes all the turmoil spin the water. Saw lots of seals and one porpoise. Weather was fantastic which all made for a... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am glad you enjoyed your trip, maybe you could try the longer trip next time as the longer you are at sea the better the chances of good wildlife sightings. Hope to see you on board again. More

Some may be put off a trip is on average £40 per person but we did the 3 hour corryvreckan whirlpool trip which is unforgettable 1st wrap up warm as even on a benign day it's cold out there You can borrow binocs on board and retreat into the cabin if cold or rough! There is a loo so fear... More

£40 may seem expensive but you will find that we are not as expensive as some other operators in our area. Running a powerful vessel suitable for the strong tides and sometimes extreme conditions in our area is not cheap. We try to keep prices as low as possible by not using agents to sell tickets at extortionate commission rates.... More

Loved every minute of the 3 hour trip with Lyndsay our skipper. A fascinating experience to see the Corryvreckan and the wildlife in the area. Lyndsay is knowledgeable, chatty and an experienced skipper making the afternoon informative, pleasurable and safe. The Corryvreckan is a sight to see and feel with swirly, boiley, whirlpools and with standing waves appearing and disappearing,... More

Many thanks for taking the time to post a review, it is much appreciated. Our trip out to Corryvreckan was fascinating with the wildlife (deer, seals, & a variety of birds including the stunning Sea Eagle) & the swirling waters in the actual Gulf of Corryvreckan. Lindsay kept us well informed about what was going on around us through his commentary pointing out places or things of interest. The Sea Leopard II is a... More

Our party of three did a 3 hour cruise out to the Corryvekan whirlpool and around the island of Jura. The scenery throughout was to say the least ,'Spectacular'. We saw deer, Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles and wild goats as well as a host of different sea birds. The skipper, Lindsay, is a very knowledgeable man who has the ability... More
