thought we would attend the light show at Anglesey abbey this year instead of other national trust establishment and we were not disappointed. We arrived a few minutes after the closing time for a shortened visit to the interior of the house but having advised that we had travelled over an hour and half to get there were promptly treated... Visiting Cambridge for the weekend and came across this NT house (closed on our visit) but it did not matter as we wandered through the magnificent gardens, interesting even in late November for an hour. Super shop and cafe, we will return when the house is open! Highly recommend a walk after 3 hours in the car!

This was the first time my fiancé and I had visited Anglesey Abbey for the Winter Lights event (having missed out on tickets in previous years - they sell out super fast) and we were absolutely blown away by how amazing it was! The lighting was spectacular and the walk around the grounds was almost otherworldly, a cross between a... More

My girlfriend and I visited to see the autumn colours during half-term and really enjoyed our trip here. Plenty of parking available, even on a busy school-holidays day, and the site was well signposted. The house was only available to view in tour groups, but this was free and seemed to be running every 15 minutes or so. The staff... More

Had a great time taking my grandmother around. We weren't able to bring her mobility scooter but this was no problem as the staff supplied one for us (she did have to take a 'driving test' and sign a disclaimer) all suggested in very good humour though. While we were there the Mill was running and we were able to... More

The house decorated as it would have been in the 1960s is well worth seeing. There was lots of people to describe some of the more unusual items while others were making drinks, biscuits, fudge ect for people to sample. The lighting and atmosphere in the rooms made the whole experience very pleasing.

We went to see the Winter Lights last night and were quite amazed by how different the grounds of the Abbey looked all lit by different colour lights . The outside of the house looked wonderful as well . We spent over two hours just wandering through the very well marked path and didn't worry too much about being cold... More

Our first visit to the Winter Lights. Great. We visit the winter garden every year and it is just beautiful. Shows what you can do with careful planting. A garden in winter can be stunning. I think they must have more visitors in the winter months than in the summer. They have made such an effort to have something of... More

Another enjoyable evening. Our third year and each year they manage to add one or two different light displays....wonderful atmosphere. Lucky again with the weather. Very organised with the parking and entry system. Everyone helpful. The pulled pork rolls and hot chocolate at the half way point were excellent value and really yummy. Then into the Cafe for Tea and... More

After three years of debating we finally booked tickets to visit Anglesey Abbey's illuminated gardens. It was a fantastic experience and we will go again next year. Tickets are available in the summer, for dates and time slots. Once in the gardens you can stay as long as you like, the entrance time slots are every fifteen minutes so it's... More
