My partner and I did a dive tour to 2 spots in the south. We had a really enjoyable day with Flipper picking us up from our resort. It was probably the first time we have done a trip with more instructors than participants! We...More

Well flipper is one of I think only 2 fully licensed dive shops on the island. Flipper in my experience was slightly cheaper! They can easily take you out for 1-2 try dives where an instructor takes you down and makes sure you are safe the whole time and you get to sample diving to see if you like. Otherwise they do courses that teach you how to dive more independently that last 2-4 days which is what I did and was a lot of fun! I'd recommend dropping into the shop in the town centre to find out more if you are still now sure!

You need certification to go diving, or you may ask them if they have something like a 'buddy dive' where an instructor is with you directly. I know they're stict, since they sent away a girl who didn't have a doctor declaration that she could dive with her asma. Afeter all it is your safety they are concerned about. I just went snorking, which was great anyway and a lot less hassle.
