Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Rock Shop Café serves the most amazing flourless chocolate cake that's homemade on the premises. And contrary to a previous review, I found it very good value, tea & chocolate cake with cream €6.85. Lovely outdoor space with comfortable seating to soak up the sun & the views

This was a brilliant experience. Fabulous shop to look around. Everyone was so helpful. Went for coffee - delicious. Best coffee around this area. Treated all of us to ice cream. Everyone was so helpful, polite and could not do enough for us. I would definitely recommend the rock cafe for food and drinks.

What a lovely and very jam packed place to stop! I was seeking Connemara marble and found it there. The store attendants were so helpful and pleasant! The tea shop had great coffee and tea selections with lots of pastry options. There’s an outside sitting area for large quantities of people.

The Rock Shop is fabulous, a must see for anyone visiting Liscannor/Lahinch and has been a constant in my life for the last 15+ years.
However, unfortunately, the cafe side has really gone downhill recentl due to it's hygiene. The cutlery, milk and preserves are left in communal baskets/jugs which require each individual to touch them.. this is not ideal considering we are trying to prevent the Covid virus and the trays are dirty.
The standard of hygiene is very much an issue and now more so than ever!
Saying that, with a few simple tweaks, they would quickly regain their appeal whilst simultaneously, keep their customers safe.

The sign outside says 'The Story of Liscannor Stone' so we were expecting maybe an exhibition or interactive presentation - but its basically just a gift shop!? There are some interesting stones and fossils for sale but I certainly didn't see any 'story' here. We had coffee and cake from the coffee shop on site and that was fine and there is some nice seating outside.

Well I have to say I really disliked the staff in this shop. Packed to the rafters with all sorts of bits and bobs, I was nearly dizzy trying to find something I wanted. In the end I left and found a very charming place down the road. The staff where verging on rude and there was a man there who I presume was the manager and I felt like asking him what are you staring at. Found the experience uncomfortable. I did get coffee and a cake but the cake was horrible. The coffee was okay.

The Rock Shop sells not only every type of rock, local craft and gems, it also had a fantastic cafe selling a wide range of goodies ! My friend recommended this place to me and said it was THE place to go, and that in the summer you will always meet someone you know there. Jimmy (local), Claire(Wicklow) and I received a great welcome from management, and boy did we need this break after running from Doolin to the Cliffs of Moher Cliff Path and then to the Rock Shop before going to Clahane, Liscannor and Lahinch. I am only a little person but the APPLE Tart was enough to feed the 3 of us. Delicious and as tempting as the scones were I didn';t have room for one. The owner Adam was so nice even offering to drop my friend to the start part of the cliffs when she was late. A real homely place and you will definitely find plenty to buy and bring home.

This shop has so many treasures that are great for gifts! And their cafe is cute and the baked goods are DELICIOUS. The locals told me they bake them all there and you can definitely tell. I've gone a couple times and hope I get to try everything while I'm here!

I am trained as a geologist so am always attracted to rock shops, hoping to see local fossils and rocks. This shop has a wide range of standard fossils and trinkets but nothing local. It was a major disappointment. May as well have been in a city.
