Beautiful old Abbey and castle right on the coast. There was only enough parking for one car at the Abbey itself (and it was very tight to turn the car around) but you can part at the beach and take the short walk over.

This location has lots of history and lots of spiritual meaning. It's a beautiful ruin and well worth the visit. I was impressed with the amount of gorgeous green sea glass on top of some of the graves.

The history just leaps out at you. My inlaws ancestors are buried here & there is a map to find out where people are buried which was very useful. it was a must see for our trip.

The Abbey is a short hike from the parking lot, through a scenic beachside area and not far from Ballinskelligs Castle. It was rainy when we visited and we were starting to run short of time, so we decided not to trek out there. From...More

We were riding along the Ring of Kerry and this place was just there. We pulled in and discovered an old abbey where Monks lived and worshipped. And an old bit of a castle or building. The cemetery was amazing as were the views. A...More
