What a spectacular beach, and spectacular views of the Skelligs, parking right at the beach. We were just driving the ring of Kerry and had to stop because it was so stunning.

After spending three hours sailing around the Great Skellig island we decided to relax nearby Portmagee. The closest attraction was a Ballinskelligs beach with the castle. It's a wonderful white sandy beach with the breathtaking views and cafe nearby.

Very nice sandy beach, ideal for families. Was not too busy when we were there. Car park and cafe are close by. There is also an old castle which boys loved!

We visited here at the beginning of October and it was almost deserted except for a man and his dog. There is a tower house which gave the landscape some added atmosphere as the sun went down.

Combined with the historic ruins, this is a beautiful, during this time of year during our visit there was no else to be seen. Definitely worth taking the time to stop and take it all in during a drive of the ring of kerry.

Will never forget the views. simply stunning. The old ruins, nice sandy beach & surprisingly warm, when we went for a dip. Cannot wait to go back, which we are already planning for 2 years time.

We went to gaze at the stars at night, which this area is obviously excellent for however was very much spoilt by a 4x4 driving up and down the beach with massive spot lights on. No idea why you would do that but not conducive...More

Beautiful beach that is so easy to access. There is a coffee shop beside the car park that is just so welcoming.
