Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hike was gorgeous, but it was very badly marked. We followed a 3 hour circular route that we found on google but we got lost after about 2 hours, so we turned around and went back the same way we came from (from the town Firgas). The path is marked from the old hotel to the waterfall, but after that you just don’t know where to go. I still recommend it if you are looking for an active adventure, just make sure you wear proper hiking or at least running shoes and long pants.

Such a beautiful Ravine, well hidden on the northern side of the island.
So worth the drive up from the south.
Green, lush and a sometimes challenging hike. Not for beginners. Bring warm clothes in winter, good shoes (mountain gear ia). Water and food too.
You may choose to turn back to start whenever you feel like it, or do the whole Ravine approx. 3 hours one way.
Mind your steps and gave an awesome experience.

On the way from Teror, Firgas to coastal area we stopped by this Barranco, beautiful view from one of places beside road, in the shade of huge eucalyptus trees. Beauty of nature is for me really amazing...

I thought this water cascade with accompanying tiled seats was really impressive. Further down were maps of each of the Canary Islands with coats of arms.
It was an amazing thing to come across in a small. ordinary town.

Stop by and look at the history of the area, the villages' steps, the water channel, and the 3-D representation of all the 7 islands

Barranco de Azuaje is a beautiful gorge located between the two following tiny towns: Firgas and Moya, which are in the North part of Gran Canaria Island. There are some lookouts from both sides, so you can see very good the gorge. Nice, not more.

We rented a car for a few days and this place we liked a lot. Nice town, colourful attractions, nice view over part of the island.

The street was really cool. Really glad we stopped in this town as it gave us more of an insight into local life.

Having hired a car we sought out places to visit and stopped here. Firgas is a quaint little village and these are worth a look if you're in the area. The man-made waterfall is directly below so find somewhere to park, head for the Tourist Info office and you'll see these between it and the church.
