Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The water is clear and warm, I swam each day at 6am and it was warmer than the pool at our local leisure centre.
At times there were good waves for jumping or body surfing.

The beach is pretty but the surrounding grass and beach hut areas are in need of some repair and TLC.

Here favs, were their homemade beef burger bun with a salad and the vegetarian pizza, finishing with either the natural cheesecake or apple strudel. Yummy

This is the correct name for the beach. It is reached by climbing down 100 steps from Bacolet Street where you can park opposite a Convenience Store. A sign points to the beach. We went there two days running. On the first occasion there was one other couple present; on the 2nd day we had the whole beach to ourselves for the 90 minutes that we were there. The beach is sandy and totally suitable for young children to paddle, albeit that there are no lifeguards. There is a basic beach bar. Drinks are more expensive than most places so we had one the first day but brought our own the second. No changing facilities, but when you have the beach to yourselves, who cares? For those old enough to remember, this beach was used for the filming of the film Swiss Family Robinson in the 60s and was also visited by the Beatles. This is the best beach that we visited during our entire stay. If you visit it you will not regret it.

This is the semi private beach with Blue Haven Hotel atop. The beach has a beach bar/restaurant that serves great food. Ask for Karen and she'll link you up.

When I first arrived at the adjacent Blue Haven Hotel, I met an angry ocean and felt that I would not be venturing down to this beach... But a few days later, the ocean was calm, the sun was out and I refused to get out of the water...

The beach bar is quite picturesque but costly by local standards. However, the food and service is quite good.... Sundays had the most people about but not near crowded as I enjoy a fish burger, a carib (local beer) and was in front row to watch a dozen locals play soccer...

I swam and walked most of the bay and was pleasantly surprised at no seaweed or stones... just sand and waves...

Cheers to great beach days!

Visited this beach while staying at Blue Haven Hotel. Didn't go swimming as the seas were a little rough. However it's a nice private location to sit and relax and hear the crashing of the waves.

This is a nice beach located not too far from Scarborough. There is a 110+ steps walk to the beach if you are not staying at the Blue Haven Hotel. Also the parking is not the best so try to go as a group so that you'll be able to park if there are a few vehicles there already. However the beach is great with lots of waves and a bar on the shore.

We lived in Bacolet Bay, so this was the closest beach to us. It's very peaceful and small. The restaurant there offers some amazing fries- cheap!
