About
The half-day cruise on board Cocomotion, our luxury 31 foot power boat, leaves heading along the Caribbean coast where we moor at a couple of secluded bays for some excellent snorkeling and beautiful marine scenery. During the cruise we sometimes see dolphins, which often like to come and play around the boat. All snorkeling equipment is provided, including life jackets for those who prefer to use them. The boat also has a bimini top which we put up for sun protection while the boat is moored. During the tour we serve soft drinks, bottled water, fresh fruits and our famous home-made carrot cake! We also offer private charters for those who prefer an exclusive tour on Coco Motion. We are happy to ‘tailor-make’ a tour to your individual requirements; snorkeling equipment and refreshments are provided. Also have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it. We offer a version of this program, either in a pool or other body of water. You might try it while you’re on vacation in Tobago. While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were lucky enough to have the boat to ourselves, however whenever we saw the boat prior to this it was never packed to the brim...

The boat is far superior to many of the other options available, and it my opinion worth paying the premium for, as we have a wonderful experience.

The weather was gorgeous, but soon after we set out the wind picked up and the rain hammered. Marlon went as far as he felt comfortable to do so. We still snorkelled, despite the dark water it was fairly warm, and Marlon watched on, ensuring we were safe.

A smashing experience, with cake (fantastic) with a knowledgeable, friendly, experienced captain in Marlon.

Wholeheartedly would recommend.

Can’t emphasise enough how brilliant Marlon is!

The trip was brilliant and insightful. The fish are beautiful... the coral garden was my favourite part :)

He was a total gentleman. Would highly recommend.

Love the carrot cake too!

We went out with Marlon with our two adult kids and had a brilliant time. Marlon is great, courteous, knowledgeable and a laugh. Our fist stop at Coral Garden off Buccoo Reef, was fantastic. There was no time limit, in fact Marlon suggested we stay in longer as the snorkelling was so good. The sting ray was particularly memorable. Our next stop was Mt Irvine Bay, which wasn’t quite as clear, but still managed to see some different fish. It was after this that Marlon passed round Rachel’s carrot cake...we need to get the recipe! A fast blast along the coast, then a final stop at Nylon Pool, which was unreal.
We can’t recommend going out with Marlon highly enough. You go early, so miss the crowd of glass bottomed boat and the reefs are empty, plus we were the only ones on it. The whole family agree that it was the highlight of our two week holiday...thanks Marlon.

We first met Marlon on honeymoon 16 years ago when he came into the lagoon at Coco Reef. We instantly got on with him and found him friendly, trustworthy and knowledgeable about the island and his boat.

We have been back ten times now over the years and always meet up and go out on CocoMotion and are never disappointed. We have seen dolphins three times now and snorkelling in the bays along the coast is great.

Marlon’s wife, Rachel’s carrot cake is legendary now and part of any trip with Marlon.

If you’re in Tobago and want to explore the waters around this lovely island I can’t recommend CocoMotion and Marlon enough.

He’ll give you a memorable time!!

Marlon took us out at 9am for a bit over 3 hours. We got to snorkel at Buccoo Reef (with noone else in sight!) and then took a boat ride along the coast which was beautiful…we say a flying fish! We got to do some more snorkeling at Arnos Vale, a beach not easily accessed from land. Then he took us back to the Nylon Pools (where we were once again completely alone!). If you can afford the step up and would like to snorkel instead of seeing the reefs through a glass bottomed boat, this is the experience you want! The tour also left from the Coco resort so we didn't have to navigate the crowded Pigeon Point.

Booked tour - it’s-three hours long and you get to see the best of the Caribbean coast. It’s not a ‘booze cruise’ which is exactly what we wanted and the snorkelling was out of this world!!

It really doesn’t get better.

A day out with Marlon snorkeling is a "must-do" when visiting Tobago and something we have done each time we have visited the island. This time we did an all day excursion, snorkeling off 3 beaches before a lunch on the deserted beach and Coconut Bay and finally some fun at the Nylon Pool.

A lovely offshore snorkelling experience for my husband, 9 yo daughter and me . Although the water was choppy Marlon always made us feel safe and the journey between the 3 different sites was great fun. Plus we were the only boat at each location!
We have snorkelled at some other Caribbean Islands and while there is not as much to see as at some, the variety of the 3 sites made it interesting and swimming amongst thousands and thousands of minnows was unique.
The combination of on and below water experience made the trip personal and special.

We had such a great trip with Marlon! He took us out on a half day trip and was so great. He looked after everyone so well, including children and also myself who isn't a great fan of boats or swimming - so i felt completely comfortable and loved it! He took us to two different reefs, each very different, and the Nylon Pool. He ensured we were there at quiet times, before the large boats arrived. But the absolute highlight was when he spotted something in the distance and turned around - suddenly we found ourselves in the midst of dolphins, with one swimming alongside our boat. Marlon told us so much about the area, and helped us to identify fish we saw. He was absolutely wonderful. This trip was a real highlight of our trip!
