Sono un abitante di Brenzone, consiglio a tutti la visita di questo sito archeologico composto dalla Chiesetta medioevale di San Zeno (aperta al pubblico Lunedi e Giovedi mattina) e dalle rovine di una villa romana del 1 secolo dc.

È una zona archeologica affacciata sul lago. Abbiamo potuto visitarla gratuitamente la mattina (c'è anche con la guida). La consiglio come breve tappa per chi ama i luoghi storici e le passeggiate.

Per chi passa da Brenzone un luogo in cui nn si può nn fare una tappa. L'entrata è gratuita e la visita non impegna molto tempo. All'entrata c'è anche un ragazzo che consegna un opuscolo informativo sulla storia della Villa e della chiesa.

Abbiamo scoperto casualmente questo sito interessante girando per i paesini che si affacciano sul lago. Ci sono i resti recentementi scoperti di una villa romana, in parte situati sotto la chiesa medievale di San Zeno, e una splendida vista sul lago. Si può visitare, se non erro, il lunedì e il giovedì mattina avvalendosi di una guida competente. Vale la pena visitarla.

Sito archeologico ritrovato nel 2005, quando i lavori d'ampliamento del cimitero,ci restituirono i resti di una villa grandissima, di epoca romana. L'Unica ritrovata sulla sponda orientale, si noti in particolare lo straordinario stato di conservazione delle murature. Ma è necessaria La spiegazione, degli 8 vani riportati alla luce, dell'addetto, che si trova solo al mattino e solo in certi mesi, che ci da notizie della struttura architettonica composta da più terrazze a scalare verso il lago. Ingresso Gratuito

Nei pressi del cimitero di Castelletto, dietro la bella chiesa medievale (da visitare anch'essa), questi resti di una villa romana scoperta una decina di anni fa. Per comprendere appieno l'importanza del luogo è utile la speigazione del "custode" che in alcuni orari si trova qui o delle notizie presenti sul sito brenzone.it
