We recently enjoyed a fabulous cycling tour around the beautiful rural countryside of Siena, Chianti in Gaiole, Pienza and Montecelano courtesy of Marco at Gusto Cycling. The whole tour was designed by Marco using his intimate knowledge of the region. This ensured we stayed at the best hotels as well as experiencing the rustic charm of rural farmhouse hospitality. Restaurants were also suggested by Marco which enabled us to enjoy the best food the region has to offer.
Our trip included just the right amount of tarmac and gravel (White Roads) surfaces. We even rode the gravel road near Pienza which famously appeared in a scene from Gladiator with Russel Crow!
All our luggage was transferred from hotel to hotel by Marco, who kept in daily contact to ensure our holiday went without a hitch.
We both had a fantastic trip and one we would both highly recommend.

Highly recommend Gusto Cycling. Customer service is exceptional. Every detail was well planned and carried out seamlessly.
We did a self-guided tour as a couple, and everyday Marco checked in to see how we were doing; and was gracious when asked for a late route change for one day when I was not coping with the heat.
We were very pleased with the hotel choices, bikes, routes and recommendations. Communication was excellent before, during and after the trip.
Felt very well taken care of by Marco.

Gusto Cycling was pivotal in making our dream holiday come true. Marco made sure he knew his clients and created a tailor made tour for us through Tuscany that suited all our needs and exceeded our expectations. We followed GPS routes plotted by Marco mostly on gravel roads per our request, visited lovely restaurants and stayed in handpicked accommodation perfect to our requirements. The price was also fair. Thank you Gusto Cycling!

Marco and Massimo took my husband and I on a 6 hour bike ride in Montecatini, with some lovely scenery and to monticarlo ,( a lovely hillside Tuscany town ) stopping at a wine estate for lunch.
We both highly recommend this trip. Marco and Massimo Made the trip very interesting

We were a large group of 20 staying in pont à Moriano, just out of Lucca , in Tuscany. We used Marco and his team for a bespoke day cycling trip . This was a high lite of our travels. Marco was amazing to deal with and his 3 guides including a support vehicle were fantastic . As we were such a large group they did a great job keeping us safe it would not have been easy . The scenery was breathtaking and winery lunch spot was well chosen . I would not hesitate to use this company .

I have never written a review in my life as I’ve always thought they were a bit pointless. However, I feel compelled to write one on this occasion to highlight one of the best organised trips I’ve been on, courtesy of Marco at Gusto Cycling. This was a 2 day cycling trip in Tuscany with a couple of old mates, stopping off at a vineyard each day for lunch. The bottom line is that this was an incredibly well organised, tailored trip in the most beautiful countryside. Marco was fantastic and even texted me each day to make sure everything was ok. I would most certainly recommend Gusto cycling to anyone.

An excellent tour under the guidance of Marco. Maratona Dles Dolomites. From the minute we booked it Marco was in constant communication offerings tips and advice along the way. The hotel he chose for us was perfect and of a very good standard. The whole event was excellent and Marco was very helpful and reassuring as it was our first time doing the cycling event. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again, so much so we are already booking for 2024. First class service all the way. Thank you Marco

It's really difficult to know quite what to say or how to reflect just how impressive every aspect of Gusto Cycling's (and Marco in particular) service is! We contacted Gusto cycling simply from spending time googling cycle tour companies on the internet. We came with a brief - specific dates related to our flights from Bristol, estimated daily distance, hotel/restaurant preferences and Marco devised a totally bespoke tour for us. Every aspect of this was seamless. His communication via email prior to the tour and whilst we were away via WhatsApp was just superb. The routes he planned for us were top notch with great roads/strada bianchi trails. He adjusted the hotels based on recent feedback and routes both prior to leaving and whilst we were there when we asked for slightly longer route for our last day. I just cannot thank him enough for such a wonderful holiday which was perfect in every way. We took road bikes (suitable for gravel roads) and cycled 60-80km daily self guided as we do a reasonable amount of road biking in the UK and have previously cycled in mallorca and sardinia. However if you were looking for a longer or shorter tour this would easily be something he could provide. All luggage transfers were seamless. Restaurant recommendations/wine tasting etc all fantastic. If only he could do this for us in other european countries I would never use anyone else!

After considering many options, I chose Gusto Cycling to arrange a 5 day self guided cycle tour in Northern Tuscany for myself and my husband, and I’m so glad I did! Everything about our experience working with Marco exceeded our expectations. Marco is easy to communicate with ( through email and WhatsApp) and extremely kind, helpful and flexible. Based on our preferences, we did a variation of his Northern Tuscany cycle tour published on his website - basically doing it in reverse and beginning in the town of Greve in Chianti after a private transfer from Florence. Although we are experienced cyclists, we chose e-bikes for this trip - which I would highly recommend. The e-bikes were in great condition and of high quality and well equipped. Marco planned the routes for each day and sent them to us via the Ride GPS app ahead of our trip so we could have the turn by turn directions already downloaded on our phones. The routes were beautiful , easy to follow, with minimal traffic. Marco recommended points of interest and stops along the way for lunch or coffee. Our ride took us through the Chianti vineyards to Siena the first night, then on to San Gimignano , Montecatini Terme and Lucca ( with a loop ride to Pisa from Lucca on the last day). Marco also arranged all the hotels and luggage transfers so our bags were always waiting for us when we arrived each afternoon. One of our favorite experiences was being joined by Marco and his wife for part of our ride out of Montecatini Terme toward Lucca. We greatly enjoyed their company and their insight into the region. We can’t wait to plan another trip with Gusto. I highly recommend them - with Marco’s personal touches, attention to detail, and obvious passion for helping others enjoy their time in Tuscany , you can’t go wrong!

Had a wonderful ride. We arranged this before heading to Italy and our communication with Marco was excellent. The bikes were perfect for our heights and in good condition. We were able to walk to our meeting point, which meant we had to ride on city roads to get out of town. It wasn’t long til we were on country roads. We passed a kiwi grove, eucalyptus trees and many fragrant flowering bushes. Seeing the countryside on a bike was a welcome change from the car. Our guide, Massimo, led us and gave the option of riding by a river on paths. He gave us info along the way and was a great guide. We rode up to Montecarlo, which provided beautiful views. Although the trip was considered “mostly flat”, I was sadly physically challenged. I would get the e-bike next time! My husband is an avid cyclist and had no problem, but the rest of us wished we would have upgraded to the e-bike. Massimo was kind enough to push me up part of the hill! The lunch/wine stop was beautiful and we had great food and service. Marco and his wife met us at the completion of our ride. The experience was perfect for our self-planned tour of Tuscany. I recommend Gusto and highly recommend getting an e-bike!
