Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

No set nudist areas, you just do as you please! Lots of nude people about though. Good for a skinny dip!

We have been going regularly to stay overlooking playa de Migjorn for the last 12 years and as the longest stretch of beach on the island, the views are fantastic, even when the weather decides to be a bit iffy. There are plenty of sandy areas to lay in the sun and swim and also, along its length, quite a few restaurant/bars,our favourite being,La Fragata, very friendly familly type restaurant, very good value.

Not many shops but take things with you. It gets busy. Loved the clothes optional bathing, first time we had done it and no one looked, it felt so free. Loved it and want to go back, but touring Europe so moving on.

I loved staying in accommodation close to Migjorn beach. Although it's long, it is by no means a continuous strip of sand - rather there are distinct areas each with their own character. However, what they share is the beautiful white sand, shelving gently into crystal-clear water.
On our first full day on Formentera, it had been stormy the previous day and the sea was somewhat rough and weedy - however, the following day we had a beautiful view across a flat blue sea and clear water.
Formentera's beaches are known for their relaxed approach to nakedness, and on the part of the beach where we were staying (VogaMari), the majority of people were nude, many nationalities relaxing comfortably. There was even an amusing bit of international cooperation when a gust of wind sent several umbrellas spiralling down the beach, and several people, including yours-truly, caught them then had to try to return them to their rightful owners.
It was lovely there - but please don't tell too many people, we don't want it to get crowded!

The whole island is a magical place. You do however need to consider getting around.Either bus taxi, hire car or even bike like we did.We soon whizzed around from monument to church then to a beach. All for €15 which was brilliant in our opinion. We were here last week (Oct) and it was perfect as it was not too busy,in fact it was pretty quiet which suited us nicely

While the beach is huge with many places to put your stuff down and relax, I always went to an area of it where a little beach side bar called '62' was. I must of came to this beach maybe 4 times and slept there one night as well (although I've heard sleeping on beaches is not allowed on the island, we just put our stuff behind some bushes and slept there with no problems). You'll see plenty of people going topless or full nude as this beach (or at least the area I was at) is smaller and more discreet. As usual, the water is incredibly clean and clear and of a temperature that is so perfect that it almost doesn't seem right. It's really easy to find spots with barely anyone around.

This is a delightfully quiet beach. I believe the beach is about 6km long. We walk a substantial portion of it along largely along the decked path that has been put up to protect the surrounding dunes. The beaches were largely deserted with only odd bathers, both nude and textile to be seen. Nice sandy beach broken up by rocky sections that give the impression of different beaches. Sea largely beautifully clear, but there were patched where masses of sea grass has been washed up. Like other prts the waters are shallow for quite a way out.

This beach on the road to Es Calo is not as beautifull as Es Illetes but far less crowded.
This long beach is really clothing optional and you will find always a quiet spot; A good place is just right from the Blue Bar club. feel free to undress.
