    Wonderful trip
I took a trip organised buy my tui tep- we went to the cactus gardens then to this wine tasting place then to the house. Fabulous trip. The house gives off like vintage playboy vibes and is a must see. Really enjoyed it and bring your cameras as it’s so cool to go through all the tunnels and imagine all the fun and the high life anyone who came to visit this place lived. Loads of art work if your into modern art- architecture - culture come and see this place. The cactus gardens which are not at the house they are located at another place are brilliant. Make sure to wear flat sensible shoes or trainers for the cactus gardens as it’s rocky with loads of steps. Defiantly recommend this trip the one I did was only a half day so was the perfect length of time.

    Moved me to tears
WOW WOW WOW!!! I cannot even try to express my experience in words. It was spiritual and somatic 🙏 From the moment I arrived to when I left I was flooded with so many emotions and physical sensations. This place is magical. The highlight was the rebirthing experience from the inner sanctum of the lower cave rooms, feeling reborn as I exited the 'birth canal' from the trip from the 'shaft' to the 'womb' into the lower pool area. Manrique was a master, he truly had a connection to the higher power whatever that might be, the collective unconscious was strong. Every single second felt timeless, like the world outside did not exist and I transcended my ego to exist as one with the present moment and the place I was part of as I journeyed throughout the house. It was like I was always there, in a higher state of consciousness as I connected with his soul. I understand wholeheartedly the purpose of this man on this planet and his deserved reverence on the Island. A must do!!!

    Lanzarote history lesson.
Excellent morning visit! Knew a little about the history but found the foundation really interesting. Lots of video information and artefacts to see. Good value admission charge and lovely coffee in the courtyard. Bought some interesting souvenirs!

Absolutely amazing place. We took a taxi from Cost Teguise (€15 each way). I don’t have any knowledge of art but liked his graphics so decided to visit. The house is amazing, lots of informations, architecture is unbelievable. How He made it work nature and living space. Our favourite was the outdoor space with pool, bbq and hanging egg chairs. My 7 yo daughter enjoyed the tour. There is souvenir shop and a little cafeteria.

    Stylish beautiful home
I would love here and it’s 2023. Imagine when this was built. Very well maintained. It’s beautiful. Get a view into Cesar’s life and how he thought. It’s very organized. My 15 yr old son was stretching himself from a stair handle and he was scolded. A bit over the top.

    Fascinating
We visited this as part of a tour and had the benefit of an excellent guide Vanessa who knew the house very well and provided fascinating insight into the life and work of Cesar Manrique. Then house itself is amazing, built in and around lava bubbles, a real snapshot of 70s decor and the lifestyle of the time. Well worth the time

    Fascinating architecture
Visited as part of a Jet2 trip. Fascinating house & architecture with a great range of photographs from Cesar Manrique’s life. Well worth a visit, I don’t think there is anything architecturally like this anywhere else in the world, built out of a series of lava bubbles. The best way I can describe it, is that it is what you imagine a 1960’s Bond villain living in. One of our highlights of this visit to Lanzarote

    Excellent insight into Lanzarote
Everyone told us to start here on our trip to Lanzarote and I can easily see why. This isn’t just about visiting a tourist site. This is about learning about the man behind so much on the island. He had a vision what is what we wee here today as the island is influenced greatly by this artist. Yes the house is fascinating with rooms carved out of volcanic rock. But here you can learn as well as see. Beautiful. Fascinating. And a terrific starting point to so many other tourist sights on the island. I’m very grateful for the recommendation to come here which has made me eager to see more in Lanzarote and understand the history behind what I am seeing. Definitely recommended.

Fascinating insight into an amazing environment
Really interesting little spot with some fascinating insights into an intriguing character. We went on an unbearably hot day without much research as something to do and we’re very pleasantly surprised. The man was a very interesting g character and the tour gives some fascinating insights into the man, his art and lets you explore a fantastically well designed house that work amazingly well in the environment. A great hour or two exploring.

    What a wonderful place.
Popped in here as part of our sightseeing of the local area where we were staying. Didn't have any preconceived ideas of what it was going to be like. All that I can say is WOW! What a fantastic home he had, the use of space, the ideas were certainly different from the norm. The outside space was also fantastic. I'm not going into too much detail as I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise if you decide to visit. €10 per person entry, not excessive at all. Worth a visit.

Amazing house and artist. This man was an amazing gift to the island- especially for tourism.
Trailblazer in terms of his architecture. Difficult for me to imagine living there with the outside inside.

We had never heard of this artist but decided to visit to see what it was all about. The house/museum covered furnishings and photos of his life within what had been his house and garden. If you imagine photos of Princess Margaret with her non-royal friends this is rather like what this is like, Interesting, but as I didn't know him, it would not have worried me if I missed it.

an amazing place. this was the artist Cesar manrique's first home on the island, fashioned out of using the caves formed from the volcano erupting. Very interesting, and his lounge is a 60's paradise. Loved the swimming pool (no, you can't swim in it)

there is a little gift shop, and if required the helpful staff in the ticket office will phone taxi's for you.

Interesting place and interesting history of lanzarote. We had also visited lagomar on the same day and would recommend this as the teenagers were invested in the links between the properties
