The Jameos del Agua was the Centre of Art, Culture and Tourism to be created by César Manrique and reflects one of the cornerstones of his creative work: harmony between nature and artistic creation. The Jameos del Agua are located inside the volcanic tunnel created by the eruption of La Corona Volcano, one of the longest in the world, at 6 kilometres in length.

I had briefly looked at a flyer for here, I absolutely love anything to do with nature so when we were up this way I decided to go have a look, well I wasn't disappointed,it was absolutely beautiful, I could easily have stayed there all day taking it in and enjoying it. We had young children with us who liked... More

An amazing place - I would love to go again and hear a concert - or just live there and swim in the pool!

This place is marvellous, like a 60's Bond villain lair, except with tiny albino crabs instead of sharks. You need to be quite fit for all the steps though and it's a bit of a struggle with very small children. For the design and the views it is absolutely worth it though. Cesar Manrique was a genius, brilliant artist. Only... More

What vision, what creativity! The blue of the pool. The 100 year old palm. The tiny crabs in the pool - a unique environment. Amazing to think that it was created 50 years ago. Stunning! I would love to attend a concert or production there.

This is one of the most beautiful and interesting places to visit on the island. The site comprises huge bubbles in the lava, one housing a tidal lake with unique white crabs, another a lovely pool and another a concert hall. There is also a scientific section devoted to the study of volcanic activity. This is yet another of Cesar... More

Hired a car out and drove here, was ok to kill some time but looks very tired and run down! For what you paid to get wasn't worth it, white crabs were fascinating but apart from that. A lot of walking/steps so wouldn't recommend it for anyone unsteady on their feet or not too good with heights or narrow paths.

Dear visitor, Thank you very much for your comment, the opinion of our customers helps us to improve day by day and helps us to know how our customers think. Jameos (that means the collapse of the top of a volcanic tunnel) is the second stretch of the tunnel and it goes on under the sea.In the restaurant there is... More

As a group of 4 women, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Jameos del Agua. As with all Manrique buildings, the architecture of the place is as good a reason to go as any. It's very pretty and well laid out. The pool with the blind albino crabs takes only perhaps 5 minutes to enjoy, but then you can wander... More

We went there at night, for the evening concert. This place, at least at night is absolutely magical - definitely my favourite on Lanzarote. When we started walking down the stairs the view was simply breath-taking. I would definitely want to go back there one day. If you are on the island it is a MUST SEE!
