Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent area to visit. We visited whist staying in nearby Pine Cliffs resort and had a lovely lunch overlooking the ocean. Lovely fresh fish in a restaurant overlooking the sea. Well worth a visit.

You can see them primarily in the two small coves sandwiched between Praia dos Olhos de Água and Praia do Barranco das Belharucas. Most of the reviews already posted on this listing are not for the springs but specifically about the two beaches Praia dos Olhos de Água and Praia do Barranco das Belharucas, both of which have their own Trip Advisor listings under beaches. The one with the beach huts is Praia dos Olhos de Água for example.
The small cove that takes its name from the springs Olheiros de Água Doce is a small, sheltered cove which is accessed by a large black wooden staircase entered from the road just before the Tui Blue Falecia hotel. It is not the staircase shown on the photographs as this is the one for the Praia do Barranco das Belharucas next door which leads from the 3HB Falecia Garden and the Porto Bay Falecia hotels.
This particular cove is a lovely, sheltered spot but with no facilities and no shade, so if intending to spend some time here make sure you bring what you need and especially a beach umbrella. The sea is lovely and it’s safe to swim here, but you will need to step over rocks to get in the sea here, unlike the two larger public beaches either side.
The small sister cove next door is known as Praia dos Cruz as is equally as nice. You can climb and scramble over the separating rock cliff between the two, but it’s not straight forward, and Praia dos Cruz is probably better accessed from the Miradouro da Praia dos Olhos de Água, the lookout point at the eastern end of Praia dos Olhos de Água.
You have probably gathered it by now anyway, but just to confirm, neither of these two small coves are suitable for those with mobility issues. For wheelchair users Praia dos Olhos de Água is probably the best, but there are still issues with this one.

My favourite beach in the world WEO the uk. The sea can be abit rough but the clean sands and great atmosphere is just so relaxing after many years I've never had a problem, loads of everyone young and old alike and the GDR are always on hand.
Brilliant, escalators to the east and a lift to the west.

Sheltered cove so just a slight breeze and calm water albeit a little cool. The sun warmed you up though. Course sand and some rocks at the extreme east of the beach. To the west of the beach were interesting rock formations. The west of the beach had only one or two people while the east had loads, no idea why as the west part seemed nicer.

We stayed in Albuferia but a short walk took us to Praia dos Olhos de Agua.
A beautiful beach but gets very busy with little space to sit. The sea is very sea weedy which put me off going in sadly.
Get there early if you want a spec. Also if the sun loungers have a red tag hanging from the shelter it means they have been pre booked as we found out the hard way.

What a lovely little fishing village Olhos D'Agua is, we chose to holiday here on previous reviews we saw and we were not disappointed!
The main area of the village is situated on the beach front with a number of restaurants and bars where you can get great food and have a drink in the sunshine, the beach is lovely.
What we liked most about this place was it is ideal for couples and families who want a quieter and more relaxing holiday and do not want to be bothered by those large and annoying groups of the stag and hen type
wqqho tend to be drawn to resorts like Albufeira.
The locals here are friendly and welcoming
and is a place we will certainly be returning to in the near future.

Beach with two different accesses.
For those going for the first time, with the help of Mr.Google, we will stop at an entrance full of stairs to go down the cliff leading to a restaurant (or are part of it, I didn't quite understand), parking is scarce.
However, I later realized that there was another entrance, this one much more practical and accessible, without major differences in level, with free parking, as well as a promenade with shops and public bathrooms available.
The beach itself is very beautiful and quiet for those going with children.

Wonderful beach with a range of restaurants overlooking it. Really busy for a Tuesday in early April. If you walk to the end of the beach and climb the stairs you can see the layered strata of the rocks. They have a range of stunning reds and yellows and oranges.

Beautiful and unspoiled. Lovely beach bars and restaurants too! Easy to walk to but little hilly for anyone with mobility issues. Scenery is awesome. Enjoyed several walks and went on to do extended beach walk too as far as Villamoura but you need to watch the tides.

Upon arrival at the beach our family was delighted with the view of the beach and the breeze that came from the ocean. Next to it is a cliff and further away we can see the town of Quarteira. The sand strip was very clean and the children loved to enter the sea and return pushed by the waves, which in the day and time were quite calm.

Is it suitable for wheelchair
Written 31 August 2020
It would be a challenge to access the beach in a wheelchair. The hill down to the beach is very steep and the pavement is uneven.

Are there sun beds on Olhos de Agua beach near Riu Guarana Hotel, thank you.
Written 3 March 2020
There weren’t when I went in November but I believe there are earlier in the season. Lot of hotels and restaurants were shut in November.
There’s a bar on beach which unfortunately was shut.
If you walk along cliff top there’s benches. I used one of these to lie in the sun. Nicer views up there. Nice place to watch the sun set too.

Hi does anyone know if they do boat trips from Olhos de Agua in April thanks
Written 20 January 2019
The boat trips and fishing trips I have done over the years I used to leave from Vilamoura harbour. Now though more recently from the new Albufeira harbour which is closer from Olhos da agua. The agents you book from will tell you which harbour. Hope this helps.
