You can walk for miles on this beach , a great deal of which is set below a vertical cliff landscape. Immediately below cliff is grit from the cliff erosion , which within a few metres turns to soft sand rarely covered by the tide so is flat. Need to be fit to walk on it as you do sink... More

Falesia beach is a stunning expanse stretching from olhos d'agua right through to quarteria past Vilamoura. The sand is soft and golden surrounded by beautiful red cliffs and beach bars dotted right along it.Depending on tides you can walk right along from olhos d'agua taking approx 11/2 hrs.

Was a very nice beach . Bit tricky underfoot as lots of shells and broken shells . The waves seemed a bit rough no swimmers while time we were there. Went off season so can't comment on summer but it is a very nice walk . Would recommend getting the lift just for views .

A lovely walk along an extensive beach with interesting cliffs in sandstone of varying colours. Quiet beach for sunbathing and isolated snack bars periodically.

When you get there, make sure if you can you park at the top of the cliffs and look at the view, the beach, the water, the red rocks, its absolutely stunning. Can not recommend this place enough. There are toilets at the snack bar at the bottom of the... More

This a a wonderful beach that goes on for miles, without buildings, only nature. Best at low tide. Alongside, breathtaking canyon-like multicolored cliffs.

Spectacular cliffs looking down on wide sandy beaches. Unspoiled by too many people at the time we visited. There are hiking trails up above also.

Great walking beach off season, not sure what happens when the crowds arrive. There are small cafes with facilities along the beach.

Long stretch of sand with beautiful red and yellow sand cliffs. Definitely worth a visit. Lots of flowers blooming in nooks and crannies.

I was here in March, it was quiet, peaceful and so beautiful. Definitely recommend it for couples/friends/family
