The castle is well worth a visit for the views alone. The entrance charge is only 2 Euros and the history of the castle is well presented in the old prison cells.

The ruins of the castle are beautiful. The entrance is only 2€ per person. But it closes early (around 15h). The little train of Petra and Molyvos will take you right there.

We went here and walked to the top - but it was Monday and the place was closed It was still worth the effort though to get to the top through all the little shops and bars

Beautiful Byzantine castle overlooking Molyvos town- well preserved and looked after! Only down side - quite a climb and not always open to view

Great place to go shows the history of Molivos and it's upheavals through the ages. Full of history something for everyone. 2 Euros to enter but it is museum as they all cost the same and you will not regret it.

After the trek up from the Harbour after a good lunch it was sad to find the castle closed despite’s it’s opening times showing that it was supposed to be open. However the walk is magnificent, steep but enthralling walking up along the cobbled narrow...More
