Hi, I booked this for my granddaughter's 5th birthday party. I was a little bit nervous as to how the kids would get on, we only had three in our party, but oh my goodness, I needn't have worried. The instructors were absolutely fantastic. One of my grandchildren suffers a little with anxiety, but out of the three she came away with the most enthusiasm. She has good empathy with animals and I hoped that she would enjoy the experience. They all want to go again, so I'm sure we'll be back for lessons and riding. Thank you to all the professional team for making my grandchildren's day a positive experience.

We visited today with SNAAP. They are a charity who organise events for children and young adults who have disabilities.
My children (6 and 3) were able to groom the ponies, learn about them and then they had a ride and even a little trot around the indoor sand school.
The staff were great with the children and my daughter in particular is very nervous and doesn’t talk to anyone she doesn’t know well. She smiled the whole time and really enjoyed herself.
Nelson Park offer all sorts of different packages and even do birthday parties!

Just had an amazing children's party here with riding lesson, food and sweet cart. Great value, helpful staff, the kids loved the lesson under-cover in the spacious barn with the ponies, would definitely visit again. Everyone agreed: best party ever!

My 9 year old has been riding here for a year and I cannot fault the school.
She started with the after school club twice a week, then pony club on a weekend and now private lessons.
I used to ride and I have been taking lessons here too; the mums club on a Wednesday and Friday is a perfect way to get back into riding in a relaxed atmosphere.
Friendly and patient instructors and some lovely horses.
I find the lessons good value for money; horse riding is an expensive sport.
I like this stables as everyone is down to earth and there is none of the snobbery or 'know it alls' which often come from 'horsey people.'

Took four girls for an hours lesson, was brilliant! All the staff so helpful and friendly, had party food afterwards, and that went down well too! Would definitely recommend and all of the girls would love a return visit, Thankyou Nelson park !

my child goes here, and i am happy with the site, parking is sufficient, on weekends they have the cafe open, there are on site toilets, they have dogs that roam free so be aware if your child has a fear of dogs, most of the staff are friendly enough, although i would say as my child is not part of their 'pony club' they seem less interested in actually teaching my child like they do some of the others. if wasn't for that i would of given them 5 stars

Our Grand daughter was 2 and wanted to ride a horse, booked it at Nelson Park, very friendly place, good parking, kids area and café with rest rooms.
The little pony arrived ready to start this little girls first ride,her riding hat in place, of she went.
The young girl in charge was very confident and answered the adults questions, while leading the little one on the pony..
A good set up, great service......
