Great excursion. My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of meeting Emma who, u fortunately , is only a temp. Multi lingual guide was very informative ...lunch was filling ...kayaking definitely something to do . Carl could use a tips on friendliness and not being so coy and cocky. He was a bit of a smart Alec and didn't seem... More

Jungle Land Panama day excursion is a bit of a misnomer because it doesn't mention in the title that you spend a good part of your day trip on the Panama Canal! The staff at both the houseboat & on water were excellent. The lunch provided was excellent although a couple Americans next to us complained of the lack of... More

It was overall pretty fun, our guides brought out a snake for us to hold, we got to feed monkeys right in front of us, and there was a nice waterfall at the end of the kayak trip for us to jump off of. However, the cons of this trip was that we waited around for a while without clarification... More

We send all our guests an email informing them of what to bring. This is also listed on our website. Please bring swimsuits, watershoes or flip flops, towels and cameras. We provide towels and linens for our overnight guests but we cant for the day tour. All linens and towels take a 15 minute boat ride and a 40 minute... More

The Good: Timely pick up from our hotel in a nice shuttle bus, Beautiful scenery on the boat, good tour narration about the canal, cool jungle river kayaking, pleasant waterfall at the end, moderately comfortable rubber padding on the boat seats, nice swim in the warm water lake/pond at the lunch facility site (cool multi-level, floating structure on a pond),... I highly recommend this tour if you're looking for a great day in the outdoors at a very reasonable price. The price included pickup and dropoff from our hotel. Captain Carl is extremely knowledgeable and is never short of a witty comment or funny joke. After a trip through Gatun Lake (where you can see the wildlife up close and... More

Unique view of the Panama Canal: instead of seeing the boats from the locks, you get to navigate right past them. Also, this tour shows you the Canal as part of a whole. It's not only about the boats, it's also about the incredible wildlife that is part of Lake Gatun. After touring in a motor boat, you are then... More

We stayed for 2 nights and from the second you get on Capt. Carl's boat your very informative adventure begins. Starting with the history of the canal and describing all of the ships, boats, barges we were seeing. The whole time looking for any animal, bird or reptile to point out and describe. We were able to see first hand... More

I went into the excursion with no foreknowledge having been invited by friends. I knew there was a boat ride and a floating lodge but that's it. And I think that really helped my enjoyment of the excursion so I'll keep this review relatively spoiler-free in the slim chance you haven't read much about it either. I will say I... More

Best parts: the lake is beautiful, the pickup was on time, and kayaking was nice Worst parts: Sorry, Captain Carl didn't seem so charming to us. He was informative, but I would have rather spent the day with a local Panamanian boat driver. I knew we were seeing monkeys, but I guess I didn't realize we were feeding them which... More

I support the local operators but their idea of a lake tour is to race out to the islands see a monkey and race back to the dock. Unless you take your own guide you will get no informacion. We do give treats to monkeys on a few islands. These monkeys have been interacting with tourists all their lives. We... More
