We decided to visit Sian Ka'an after going through a self-guided tour of the Muyil ruins yesterday (with our kids, ages 6 and 11) and we absolutely loved the whole experience. It was fairly easy to get there by ADO bus from Tulum (around $112/4...More

As you peruse the comments here, be aware that there are several ways to experience Sian Ka'an. Some people drive through the limited part that is accessible by car. Some travel by boat from the ocean side and don't see much more than the beach...More

We went on a day trip to Sian Ka'an whilst staying at Akumal Bay. We didn't book the Thomas Cook trip, but instead took the 'rustic' trip booked through the hotel's agent. It certainly didnt disappoint. It was an early pickup (6.15) and a drive...More

We were driving down by Tulum and stumbled upon the road that lead to Sain Ka'an. We had no idea it was tucked away along the coast and we have been traveling the area for twenty years. The water is majestic and the wildlife abundant....More

Although most people say it's a rough pad it isn't so bad, the way is just bumpy, you don't need a 4x4 jeep, you can even rent a car and go slowly, and there is just one straight way from Tulum to Punta Allen. Pay...More

It's amazing, if you rented a car, drive here, enjoy the ruins, then cool off with the guided lake tour. The mangrove float was surreal. Super easy trip to plan on your own . The lake tour is $600 per person and $300 per kid,...More

Is anyone working in the office? I've tried numerous times to book a trip but doesn't seem responsive. Anyone else having trouble with communications with them? They are highly rated but their non responsiveness is very very frustrating.

Were you trying to contact Kan Tours? There are many tour companies that go there. We used Kan because it is a larger tour company. You might have called them during siesta too.
