I attended the town hall for one of the Star Cinema's movie screenings. The movie itself was fantastic though I think the venue enhanced the whole experience. The session I attended was absolutely full of people of all ages, something few places can accomplish. The...More

This amazing and gracious building was the recent venue for an event that I attended. Firstly, the building itself is amazing, and a fabulous example of Boom Era Architecture, following the Gold Rush in Central Victoria in the 1850's. Spend some time inside, and enjoy...More

This gracious old building is now the home of the Star Cinema, largely run by volunteers. Two seater sofas provide comfortable seating. Drinks of all kinds are available to take into the theatre.

This is visually a very imposing building both from outside & inside. Loved the Mayoral table & chairs & especially our quick peep at the cinema/ballroom. A pity that more money isn't available to ensure a continued well maintained showpiece.

Can you imagine sitting back in an art nouveau settee, sharing a quality regional wine with your partner beside you and watching a great movie. Don't need to - because you can do it right here at. The Star Cinema.
