Kintampo Waterfalls
Nov 2019 • Friends
We visited the Kintampo while driving from Kumasi to the Mole hotel. The falls were actually nicer than I expected. There are three stages of the falls. The first two stages can be easily reached as the pathway is level. To get to the third stage you need to take 173 stairs down and 151 stairs up on an engineered staircase with hand rails. It was worth the climb.

Pleasant surprise at a perfect picnic spot
Aug 2019
Had the pleasure of visiting as part of a business trip. Total surprise to see such gorgeous, large waterfalls in this area. Besides, the whole 'park' around it appeared incredibly well cared for and had a very relaxed vibe to it. Lovely place for a little picnic actually. You can walk down the stairs (approx.150 down, 150 up, good exercise!) and get all the way to the bottom of the falls. Cost for foreigners to enter was 20 CD.Or you can do a canopy walk on sort of a ladder bridge, which I found too expensive (40 CD if I'm not mistaken).

Nice day trip!
May 2019 • Business
Try a bath underneath the waterfall and walk the new hanging bridge over the valley. Food and drinks are available. 20 Cedis entrance for foreigners and 30 Cedis extra for the hanging bridge.

Beautiful!
Dec 2018
Went to the falls yesterday on our way from Mole to Kumasi. The park is very well kept, no black plastic bags all over. There are changing rooms at the entrance as well as at the falls. Your guide gives a brief history associated with falls then you go to the 4sections of the falls. The last one is the most spectacular. It is located at the bottom a 173 stair stairway. Once there, you can actually walk over and sit under the falls. It was very invigorating. We were the only people visiting at that time, but there are shelters and benches to sit and enjoy the view. The climb out (150 stairs) is a little taxing but there are several landings to stop and catch your breath. There is also a snack bar and a souvenir shop featuring locally made crafts. We thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are in the area we recommend it.

Awsome and wonderful fall, located on Kintampo & Tamale, its About 4 Km from the main Town. We was there on the midday week and usually on the weekend is the busiest day. Its worth visit and i am looking forward to visiting the falls again.

Pretty falls, many steps.

Six of us visited the falls on the way to Tamale. It is very easy to find, signposted and a convenient beauty spot if traveling along the main road through to other parts. The falls are beautiful though the 150 odd steps down to them a little tiring. The young folk took that in their stride.

Lovely experience! The waterfall is in 3 stages and the last stage is the biggest. There is a long staircase leading down to the waterfall. Try counting your steps on your way down and on your way up. You won't get the same figure. It is just amazing!!1

Beautiful Falls
Apr 2016
The falls is breathtaking and so serene from my point of view. I went there with my tour guide and the caretaker of the place. No one there except the three of us. I truly enjoy the place as it appears that they take care of the place.

Worth the time
Jan 2016 • Couples
Its ok to visit, as there is not so much beauty around kintampo. As it is easy and quick to get there (a taxi will charge you not more than 10Ghs) and its near the main road, it may be worth. You can bath there as the water is pretty clean too.
