About
Our historic House, which first began producing wines in the Cote Chalonnaise in 1875 has opened its doors for a cellar visit offering a unique experience in the village of Mercurey. You will be invited to discover the history of the Rodets with two fascinating short films. The Antonin Rodet cellar tour features a visit to its cellars complete with two short films about the House and its origins. Visitors are then invited to explore a "museographic" area displaying Antonin Rodet's very first posters and artefacts. The visit is then completed with a tutored tasting of four of its major wines. The tour lasts 45 minutes and unfolds in different stages, in different places and in three languages: French, English and German. More than just a simple visit, this cellar tour - the only one of its kind in the Cote Chalonnaise - allows visitors to witness a snapshot of the life of the Rodet family and to take a welcome break to discover the vines and wines of Burgundy.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As you enter the estate's old stables, a whole wine-making past resurfaces and invites you to travel back in time.
The traditional tasting of regional wines
is enough to envelop the visitor in this magic so precious to the owners of the appellation

Entering the old stables of the estate, it's quite a past
wine which is re-emerging. The ancestral know-how of the founder puts a point
of honor at the traditional tasting of regional wines.
Located opposite the Grande Rue town hall, the place is very easy to access, a car park allows you to park without difficulty.
Through the gate, you are greeted by a magnificent French garden.
Immerse yourself in 1875 and let your imagination accompany you
time of this visit.

We visited without an appointment one afternoon and were greeted by Matthieu, the manager. This winery is bigger than some others we visited. We did not have an opportunity to see the cellars and Matthieu did not spend time explaining the wine production process. However, this was perfect for us as we already knew something about wine in the region and Matthieu focused our discussion on the characteristics of the wine we were tasting. Matthieu was cleary very passionate and knowledgeable. We were alone while we were there and so we could share our preferences and learn something about each of the wines we tried. We had been told that wineries in Mercurey offered more affordable wines (compared with Cote de Beaune) and we were not disappointed. However Antonin Rodet had some great wines from across the region including Montrachet, Morey Saint Denis, etc. We bought a range of bottles and are excited to drink them over the next few years. Thanks Matthieu!!

My wife Anita and I were on our way West across France from Chalon when we decided to stop in Mercurey for a visit. A friend recommended Antonin Rodet wines so we specifically tried to find their winery. I am so glad we did. We were greeted by The responsable caveau Mathieu Duthey who gave us the best wine tasting I've ever experienced in my life. At 48 I've visited a ton of wineries but never before had I experienced such hospitality. Mathieu took so much time with us and it was clear that he wanted us to truly appreciate and understand the wines he was so proud of. I'm not surprised as the wines were phenomenal and incredible value for money. Do yourself a favour and visit the Rodet Caveau and look for Mathieu. If you love fine wine it's an experience not to be missed.

We visited Antonin Rodet (twice actually) in July with a mini group of 18 persons.
We had a great time. Wine is really delicious and the wine specialist who took care of us, Charles, was super nice!!! We enjoyed his bubbly personality :)
I will definitly visit again when I return to Burgundy region

By chance we dropped in to this establishment on our way home last week. We were met by a very pleasant young man with excellent English and an obvious passion for his job. His knowledge was outstanding and it was a pleasure to spend some time and learn about the local wine and winemaking particularly that of Antonin Rodet. Although we had very little room left in the car after almost two weeks in France we still managed to add 37 bottles to our already extensive wine inventory. Thank you very much for the time and information not to mention the wine.

We did a wine tasting last week at this winery, and found them to be some of the best in Mercurey. The girl who did the tasting with us, was informative, and friendly. Even though our French and her English, wasn't the best, she did her best to help us understand the different terroirs, and subsequent wines.
We have booked a tour for six of us for next week, and are looking forward to seeing the vineyards and the cave.
We have found some of the wineries to be a bit intimidating, but our welcome here was very friendly. I would recommend a tasting here, their wines are highly regarded.

We had a great visit at the Antonin Rodet winery. Charles took us to the wine yards and showed the basement which was a nice museum. After that we went back to the shop where we tasted some great wines. He really showed passion for the wines and took the time to explain the wines and the wine making process. He also explained how to taste the wines. Was a great visit and we will definitely enjoy the wines we bought. Thanks a lot!

Luckily, we were in Burgundy when this winery had their open weekend (April). We were given a glass each and had a choice of many red and white wines. You really are spoilt for choice. No-one pushes you into buying the wine, and you are free to buy as many or few bottles that you want. Unlike many of the wine tasting weekends all the wines are in one room, starting with the cheapest and going through to the most expensive (€85 a bottle). Beware of the chocolate for sale however, it is sold by weight and is very expensive. The wine tasting is highly recommended
