The drive to silver strand is worth the effort It's a Place of phenomenal beauty, the strand and the headland and the dunes. Virtually empty when we visited yesterday on a bright breezy kinda sunny day.

This beach has it all, it is simply amazing. Connacht's highest mountain, Maoilrea, rises from the beach and towers overhead.
