Join us for a tutored tasting of the wines from the Chiesa del Carmine estate, paired with a selection of local delicacies. Either before or after the tasting, our guests are always invited to tour the Chiesa del Carmine vineyards. We have a free Wifi service and a children's area. Wine shipping can be arranged nationally and internationally. We also organise truffle hunting experiences.

We had a wine tasting which was incorporated into a special Cantina Aperto event. We were treated to an absolutely exquisite lunch prepared by the Michelin starred chef at Vineria Del Carmine, Delfo Schiaffino. This was one of THE best Italian dining experiences we have ever had. It was paired perfectly with the fine wines of the estate. As well as the memorable food and wine, the day was topped off by the service and the information given by the wait staff and the knowledgeable sommelier, Mattia.

We had an amazing tasting and delicious lunch at the Vineria. We started with a tour of the cellars, learning about the history of the vineyard and buildings, which are stunning. We then enjoyed an incredible lunch with local products (truffles) featured, paired with delicious wines from the vineyard. A truly unforgettable experience.

This winery is exquisite. Set in the Umbrian hills, the view is incomparable. The wine is outstanding. There was not one wine we tasted that we did not enjoy. With the options of adding a food paring the experience is nothing like you have had before. Federica is very knowledgeable about the wines and the estate. She is friendly, attentive, and cares about you enjoying the experience. It is a little off the beaten path, but a must do in Umbria.

We had a wonderful lunch with a very accommodating staff who were able to change things around for our needs (a few young babies, etc) at very short notice. The food and wine was delicious and the setting lovely.

We went with a group of friends of different ages for a wine tasting session at the vineyard. It was such a super few hours and I’d highly recommend. David gave us a wonderful tour of the property and when you see their beautiful kitchen you will definitely have kitchen envy! We thoroughly enjoyed tasting the wines and the dips/crostini that came with it. All of the staff were so friendly and knowledgable.
We will definitely visit again.

Very nice experience in an small and genuine vineria. My warmest recommendations! We were a mix of older and younger people and all were happy. They also served very nice lunch!

This place is very special. The vineyard is stunning and the staff are exceptional. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The wine also happens to be fantastic. Well worth a visit.

I found Chiesa Del Carmine on Google while I was searching for a truffle hunting experience near Perugia. I had no idea what to expect and had never heard of their wines before, but thought they were extremely nice over email and liked the program they sent me, so I decided to give it a try.
On the day of our experience, we met Mattia, who showed us the gorgeous grounds and explained a bit of their story (their founder, Jeremy Sinclair, is a British advertising legend who is one of the founders of Saatchi & Saatchi). Then, we went on to the truffle hunt with local guide Antonello and Fiamma, his lovely dog. We found two truffles and it was a pretty thrilling experience! They also showed us some other fun things along the way, like asparagus growing in the wild, and the tracks left by wild boars.
Then, we returned to the winery for our lunch and wine pairing. The food was excellent and they have a Michelin-starred chef working for them, Delfo Schiaffino. We had a few different dishes, including bread, cold cuts, a delicious Parmigiano "tart" (I can't remember the actual name), and lots of truffle (grated and shaved). All the dishes were paired with their wines, which are all extremely interesting, including probably the best Rose I've ever had.
I could not recommend this experience highly enough. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for the hospitality, and congratulations on the amazing work you all are doing! ❤️

Please have a look at the chiesa del Carmine website to see photos of the ancient church and farmhouse on the farm. Sadly we can only take tours of this property if it isn’t rented at the time of your visit. Local accommodation is available at the top of the valley, walking distance from the cellar door at Casa San gabriel

Thank you very much for your message and question. I am Mattia, the Chiesa del Carmine sommelier. We currently make one white (a pure expression of Trebbiano Spoletino) a red, and a rosé (our first rosé will be released soon and is 100% Sangiovese). Our red il Campanile is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Sagrantino, aged in French oak casks for 9 months; this wine gets very peculiar and distinctive flavors and aromas from Sagrantino, and we are also planning to be making a pure expression of this autochthonous grape variety in the future (maybe this year if we have sufficient fruit). Sì, siamo aperti regolarmente il 2 gennaio. La prenotazione è sempre consigliata, perché può capitare che io mi debba assentare dalla Vineria. Inoltre, nel caso l'indirizzo che trovate qui su TripAdvisor non sia ancora quello aggiornato (abbiamo spostato la Vineria una settimana fa, poco distante dalla vecchia struttura, a nemmeno 1 km), ecco quello nuovo:
